Lance scrambled up to his feet from the floor, his lips already curled into a sneer.

I raised my fist once again. But before I could punch Lance properly, Amethyst quickly shielded him from me. To make things worse, she even slapped me in the face.

The loud slap reverberated in the suite. I could feel stinging pain flaring from my left cheek.

With a heartrending expression, Amethyst wiped the blood off the corner of Lance's lip for him. Then, she turned to yell at me once again.

"Lance is your younger brother! What makes you think you can beat him up like that?"

My nails dug into my palms deeply. It hurt so much that I could barely breathe.

I recalled how worried I was when Amethyst never responded to any of my text messages a few hours ago. Now that I thought about it, I felt extremely stupid.

She was too busy having a passionate moment with Lance at that time. As if she'd have time to pay me any attention!
