Chapter 3- Devil

Lily's POV

My heart is racing. He dragged me out of the convenience store and I'm thankful that it's almost 1 AM. The people are sleeping.

"Let me go, Rogue!" I tried to pull my arm but he's too strong. My wrist is aching.

"I said let go! What the hell is your problem?"

He angrily let me go and faced me. "You! You are my problem, woman! You attention seeker wench!"

I gaped at him. I felt tears pooling in the corner of my eyes. I was never thirsty for attention.

I gritted my teeth and fought the urge to cry in front of him. I glared at him. "How dare you accuse me, Rogue? I was hungry so I went out to eat! What the hell is your problem with me? Showing up out of nowhere and calling me attention seeker? How dare you?!"

"How dare you!" He spat back and pointed at me. "How dare you ruin everything I have, woman? Don't you know? Mom woke me up in the middle of my fcking sleep saying you're not answering her calls and you're missing? How dare you include me in your terrible act? You just want attention, right? You want everyone's attention? You want my family's sympathy!"

"I never wanted your family's attention!"

He laughed sarcastically. "Is that how you got to convince my grandfather to make me marry you? Acting so innocent and all? Fck you and your dramas!"

"Don't you dare curse at me, Rogue!"

"Oh, I will curse at you whenever and however I want! You ruined my life!"

My lips trembled. "I did that for your grandfather!"

"Don't make me laugh, Lily! You did that for yourself. You manipulated my grandfather. You manipulated my family. You manipulated everyone to get their sympathy."

"I didn't!" I said with trembling lips. I hate him! I hate him for accusing me like that.

"You did! That's why my grandfather forced me to marry you. You ruined my life, Lily! You ruined my plans!" He shouted at my face and grabbed my arm to pull me closer to him.

"You'll regret forcing me, Lily. I'll make your life a living hell."

I balled my fists. I gave up. He's just too close minded. "Think whatever you want to think. I don't care."

I was about to leave when he grabbed my arm painfully.

"I'm not done with you, woman!"

"Well, I'm done, Rogue. And I'm leaving!"

I marched back to the tower and I felt him following me. When we rode the elevator, he pushed me against the wall and grabbed my jaws, making me face him.

I pressed my lips together, restraining my tears as I fought the flame in his eyes.

"I thought we're good, Lily? I thought you're content that I married you and you're using my family's wealth. I thought you're fine with my name and money but you are just so fcking selfish and thirsty for attention. You fcking gold digger deserves to be punished."

Anger gave me courage to push him away from me. Tears completely rolled down my cheeks because of his sharp words.

"How dare you, Rogue? My family may not be as rich as yours but I'm not a gold digger. I never wanted to use your money. I'm working to feed myself!"

"Yeah! You're working for my company." He growled. His neck was red and he's breathing ruggedly.

"Then I'll quit!" I said in frustration.

He chuckled without humor and shook his head. "You think I'll let you? Not now that I thought of a way to punish you. I'll make you suffer, Lily. You can't escape this devil. You woke this monster up anyway."

I dropped my body on the bed as tears rolled down my cheeks. I hugged my pillow and sobbed.

Grandpa… You didn't tell me your grandson is a devil.

I fell asleep after that with tears in my cheeks. When I woke up, it's already 7 AM. I rushed to the bathroom and took a bath.

I don't have a choice but to use my motorcycle to work or I'll be very very late. My superior will scold me if I reach the office at 8:01, so I rode my motorcycle.

Wearing jeans, boots and blouse, I wore my helmet and drove to the company. It's traffic so it's an advantage that I'm using my motorcycle.

"Miss Lily?"

The guard was shocked after he saw me riding my motorcycle.

I looked at him awkwardly. He's roaming around the parking lot. So he saw me when I parked.

I ran to the elevator after that and I almost lost my balance when I hit a hard body inside the elevator.

"Ahh!" I screamed and waited for my fall but a strong arm wrapped around my body, making me freeze.

My lips parted and my eyes widened after I met Rogue's sharp eyes watching my face.

I started panicking. Memories of how he angrily dragged me out of the convenience store last night flashed back in my memories.

Instead of the unusual and strange emotions, anger overpowered me.

His secretary is behind him, looking at me wide-eyed.

I immediately pulled myself up and stood beside him. No one's speaking but I could feel Rogue's glares. His jaws are constantly clenching and obviously, he doesn't like what happened.

I glanced at Rogue's secretary. She's glaring at me, signaling me to leave.

Oh right! Rogue doesn't share the elevator except with his secretary.

I bowed and quickly stepped out of the elevator. I clenched my jaws and cursed inside my head. It's already 7:58 AM. I'll be late and I'll get scolded later. Damn!

"Sorry about that, sir. She's a newbie in the production department."

I looked at Rogue's secretary. She's still glaring at me but I don't care. I ignored her.

The elevator slid close and I saw Rogue's sharp eyes still on mine. My lips parted when the corner of his lips suddenly rose and curved into a devilish smirk. I want to grab him out of the lift and punch him. I can still remember how he insulted me last night. He called me wench. He called me attention seeker.

I swallowed hard. I could hear my heart racing inside my chest. This heart doesn't really learn, huh? It's still beating for Rogue.
