Chapter 2

Reyna Andrews •

I had to find a job soon in the human world.

I almost feel so hungry. Even though I don't eat a lot. There are times when I am hungry.

Varien has been crying since he's hungry too.

I finally found the human territory. It took me a whole day to find their kind.

Werewolves are usually hidden in the dark forest. This is how we live.

I walk down the streets of a small human town.

People were staring at me, and looking at me with grief.

They must think I'm poor (of my dirty clothes) and a single mother too (carrying Varien).

Which was all true, but I'm looking for a job for Varien.

I'm never letting him go alone.

"Hey, deary? Are you okay?"

I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking. I was looking at Varien because he's my only hope now.

I look in front of me to see an elderly woman, with a small little girl next to her.

That's probably her granddaughter.

"No. I have to find a home and food for my son. I can't even find anyone who would help us." I explained my situation, trying not to cry.

"Come, darling. I'll take you home." She told, but I look at her in surprise.

"Ma'am that's too much to ask. Are you sure?" I excuse, but she shook her head.

"Yes sweety, come on. Follow me." As she leads the way, as we obey.

"Who's that miss?" Ask the little girl, looking at my arms where Varian is.

"His name is Varien, he's my son," I reply, a small smile on my lips.

"He's so adorable." She confessed, looking at Varien as he looks at her with a confused look.

"He looks like an angel darling." The elderly lady declared, smiling at us.

"Pfff..." Mumble Varien, looking at them as we laugh, following the elderly lady towards her home.

Goodbye werewolf world.
