Chapter 47 : Invitation

My mind still felt uncomfortable with that woman. Before going out, Atlas said that that woman was Zoe. But Atlas didn't explain anything else about Zoe, like who Zoe was or what Atlas' relationship with her was.

But one obvious thing from that woman was that she seemed to like Atlas, and her status also seemed to be more or less in the same position as Atlas, which was Alpha.

I could feel her aura. Her presence was hard to ignore or even dismiss. I was reluctant to admit it, but that woman had everything. She was almost perfect.

If she hadn't looked at me sarcastically and made me feel looked down upon, I might have thought of her differently. Seeing what she was like, I would have known myself. Even without her condescension, I would have realised my position, but she did the opposite, making me lose respect for her.

I turned back, looking at the opened door to reveal Atlas with a bag of groceries. What is he carrying?
