RAINE

I was standing in the middle of the room with blood running down my arm and my hair a tangled mess. My shoulder was exposed where my shirt had been torn, and the rest of it was streaked with dust from the hallway floor. Cold air from the tall glass windows behind Alpha Killian's desk crept against my skin, making me shiver slightly.

Right next to me, Celine stood with her chin lifted high, even though the red on her cheeks hadn’t faded completely. Her expensive dress was ripped at the hip, and a few strands of messy hair stuck to her temple. But as usual, she still looked arrogant, like the whole world should bow down to her, even with bruises on her face.

Alpha Killian had dragged both of us into this room himself. With his tall frame and sharp glare, he slammed the door shut behind us, and the sound echoed through the stone walls.

Inside, Beta Jax was already waiting, leaning against one of the thick wooden beams near the fireplace. His eyes were cold, narrowed at me like I wa

RAINEAlpha Baron stared at me coldly, then stepped closer again. His voice was sharp and piercing, filled with disgust.“You’re nothing but the second Luna of this Pack. Not the main one. If it weren’t for that ancient curse and the safety of the Shadowfang Pack from the wrath of the Moon Goddess, I would’ve killed you right here and now,” he said in a low but echoing tone that made several people nearby flinch.“You should know your place. Don’t let my daughter cry again and mention your name. That’s my final warning to you,” he continued. It felt like my heart was being crushed. But I stood tall anyway, even though my wrists were still cuffed, even though my body trembled from the pain and humiliation.“I’ll remember your words,” I said quietly. “But I want you to remember something too.”Alpha Baron raised his brows, like he couldn’t believe I still had the guts to talk back.“You killed innocent people,” I said louder. “Some of the parents of my five students… they were killed by

RAINEJust as I was about to take another step forward, Sera suddenly got out of the car and grabbed my hand tightly. Her usually calm eyes were now filled with real fear."Don't, Luna," she whispered hoarsely. "Don't do this. Alpha Baron... he's cruel. He’s not the type of Alpha who negotiates. He kills without warning. I'm afraid he'll kill you the moment you step near him.""Asher..." I turned to him. His body was still bare after shifting, his face red with anger and frustration. "You know I can’t let them kill the five girls."Asher slammed his fist hard against the side of the car. "This shouldn’t be happening! They left you alone, Luna Raine! Where is Alpha Killian? Where is the Shadowfang Pack?! You’re their Luna!""I'm not the Luna they wanted," I muttered softly, almost too low to hear. But I knew Asher and Sera heard it. And they didn’t argue. Because it was true.I looked Beta Gonz straight in the eye. "Fine. I’ll go to the courtyard now. Take me."As soon as those words l

RAINEJust as we were about to get into the car, a low growl echoed from the forest.I turned my head quickly. From behind the trees, several dark figures rushed out, running fast. Their eyes glowed red, their breaths were harsh and wild. These weren’t normal wolves. They were rogues. Wild wolves and uncontrolled. The scent of blood hit my nose, mixed with sweat, dirt, and death. In just seconds, they surrounded us. A perfect circle, cutting off every way out. There were... fifteen of them!Sera grabbed my hand and pulled me behind her without saying anything. Her movement was quick and firm. I knew, this was her way of protecting me.Asher was already at the front. He let out a loud snarl, and his whole body shook. In a blink, his form shifted into a large dark silver wolf. His fangs were long, and his glowing blue eyes locked onto the enemy. His growl was loud, like a warning not to come closer.Sera shifted too. Her wolf was slim and agile, reddish-brown in color. Her eyes stayed s

  • My Stepbrother, My Alpha Mate   CHAPTER 31

RAINE I was still sitting inside when the training room doors were thrown open for the second time. Alpha Killian. He walked in quickly, his steps heavy and rushed. His eyes locked onto mine, cold and intense. He didn’t even glance at my students. He didn’t greet anyone. Not even Sera. "Leave," he said shortly, without any explanation. I frowned, confused. "What do you mean?" "Leave the estate. Leave Shadowfang Pack. Now." "What?" I stood up from the bench. "No. I’m not leaving. I want to stay here. I… I can’t go. I haven’t even spoken to my mother. I want to take her with me. If there’s danger—" "Your mother will be safe!" he cut me off sharply. "We’ll protect her here. You are the one who has to go!" His voice was so loud it stopped me cold. Even the air around us felt frozen. His eyes burned with anger, and for the first time… I saw the real Alpha Killian. Not the Killian who held me at night. Not the Killian who looked at me quietly from the balcony. But Killian the Alpha

RAINEI didn’t respond. Honestly, I didn’t know what to say. My emotions were still running hot, and my body still ached from the fight.“Go back to your room and rest. I’ll call a doctor to check on you,” he said shortly. His voice was calmer now, but cold like snow at night.I was about to leave, but right before I opened the door, I turned to look at his back. He didn’t turn to face me.“Don’t just call one doctor,” I said, keeping my tone flat, almost icy. “Call two. One for your spoiled Primary Luna.”He didn’t say anything. The room stayed quiet.I knew what I said would probably piss him off. Maybe I should’ve held my tongue. But I couldn’t. I’m not some saint. And I’m not stupid enough to pretend I care when I don’t.“I didn’t say that out of pity for Celine,” I added, my voice getting sharper. “I said it because I don’t want another mess. We’re both hurt. If only one doctor shows up and it’s for me, she’s gonna howl like a mutt that lost its bone, accuse you of playing favori
