Chapter 63

PIERRE POV

The tension was louder than the crackling of the wood in the raging fire, slicing through the air with a sound much rowdier than the plastic wraps when they collided with the hard, carpeted floor.

I was shaking and still spooked from what had just happened, and I fell back to the couch like a dead weight of muscles and bones. I had an unmistakable thrum on two sides of my head, the adrenalin wearing off leaving my body tingling and my pulse skyrocketing. My eyes were snapped so wide that air felt like the tips of the dirty toothpick that kept pricking my eyeballs.

I have never seen Sebastian so angry before.

Forget about Queen B and her extensions that were plucked out, she brought THAT to herself. Even Poseidon’s charade of saving the damsel in distress was pretty much predicted. We saw it in a mile. One for sure was that she was not going to let her be wronged, not while he was there and still breathing.
