Lilian's POV.

"Wow, it's beautiful,"I muttered, my eyes staring back at my reflection.

I was putting on a sweetheart cut pink dress that stopped at my thighs. The dressed hugged my curves perfectly, making me feel chic.

Leon's eyes sparkled with excitement--the kind that made my cheeks flush. He didn't need to tell me what he was thinking, I already knew.

He turned to the mall attendant, telling her that he'd be taking the dress. My smile widened as I stared at myself, I was going to have so much fun with this dress.

Leon had mentioned taking me on a dinner date, and insisted that I got a dress. That was why we were here.

He moved closer to me, his hands fixed in his slacks, "I can't wait to take that dress off you," He mumbled, loud enough for only me to hear.

My cheeks burned with embarrassment as I rolled my eyes, "Pervert."

He smirked, "Only for you baby."

I headed back to the dressing room, changing into my previous black pants and blue top,

It was just eleven a.m in the morning and I was already getting overwhelmed with happiness. Like I'd wanted, Leon took me on a long drive, making stops at places that interested me.

The only place I'd stopped was the bookstore, and the arcade. The next place I had in mind was an ice-cream store. With locked hands, we walked out of the boutique.

"Are you having fun?" Leon asked as we got to the shiny black Camry.

"Of course," I replied with a small smile.

He returned the smile, sighing right after, "I love when you smile. I'll try my best to make sure you're always smiling."

Those words made me melt. My chest burned with the feeling of being cared for. Leon was just... everything I'd ever wanted, yet I knew I'd never have him to myself.

"Baby, you okay?" His new nickname for me sounded like reassurance.

I glanced at him, nodding in response. He opened car's door for me, and I plopped in. He rolled the wheel with one hand, and held my hand with the other.

The warmth from his touch helped the conflicting feelings reduce. I shouldn't think about anything.

I should be enjoying this moment with him, because in a few days, we'd be unable to touch each other.

I turned my head towards the window, spotting the red store ahead.

"Make a stop at Ray's Sprinkles N More," I muttered.

In a couple of minutes, Leon parallel-parked in front of the building. He stepped out, quickly rounding the vehicle so he could open the door for me.

He stretched his hand towards me, helping me out of the car with a small smile on his face. We then headed inside the store.

The different flavours of icecream--vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, banana--lingered all through the atmosphere.

Leon guided me to a seat and as I walked, goosebumps appeared on my skin as a result of the low temperature.

"Here, take this," Leon peeled off his jacket, placing it over my shoulders.

"Thank you," I replied, loving the cozy feeling his thick jacket offered.

Leon helped us order our ice creams and while we waited, I got engrossed with texting on my phone.

"Damn..." Leon's voice came, making me lift my head with a raised brow.

His eyes never left my face, the burn of his gaze making me feel like he was scanning my features.

"What?"

He made a low sound, "nothing much, I'm just admiring how beautiful you are. You've got such a cute nose...pretty lips...and the sexiest eyes ever."

My heart did the flutters, his words shooting straight to my core. I pressed my lips together, slowly dropping my head as I rubbed my neck, averting his gaze.

"Thank you."

"Look at how shy you're acting over a compliment. Adorable," He chuckled.

I feigned a death glare, my lips quivering with the desire to laugh.

"I was not shy. I was just...I didn't expect it is all," I explained,

He shook his head slightly, "I'd have said to get used to it but..."

There was an awkward silence between us. We both knew those words were better left unsaid.

I cleared my throat, wanting to speak but the arrival of our order seized my words.

"Here you go and thanks for your patronage," The waiter said with a tight smile, dropping the cups of ice-cream.

We both took our glasses quietly, occasionally glancing at each other while taking scoops. Just then, the brightness around us went dim by a figure.

"Wow. Since when did you two start going out together?" Nathan--Cole's friend--questioned.

My stomach churned badly, I couldn't find words. Leon's expression flickered with anxiety but he kept his cool--as always.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Leon asked.

Nathan alternated his gaze between me and Leon, "I don't know. Last I checked, you two don't speak to each other and now you two even sit to have ice-cream? Weird."

"There's nothing weird about this. Are we supposed to keep fighting forever? Obviously the feud has ended," I huffed, hating the way my body trembled from Nathan's words.

"Ohh I see. That's fine though, I mean, it's nice to see you two getting along," Nathan said, his tone sounding rather suspicious than happy to see us together.

Before I could say anything else, he walked across the room, taking a seat with the girl he came with.

"I think we should head home. He won't stop staring at us," Leon pointed out, his expression looking tense.

"Yeah, I think so too."

And with that, we headed out of the shop, briskly walking towards the car. When we got into the car, the tightness in my chest reduced and I could finally breath.

Leon roared the engine to life, slowly moving off the road and then he turned to me.

"You look anxious. You should look happy," He pointed out, sounding like the sweet man that he was.

I exhaled deeply, "I'm happy. I just got a little worried about Nathan seeing us together."

"Baby, you shouldn't worry about that. The highest he'd do is tell Cole and what better excuse than we called a truce over ice-cream?"

That made sense.

A small smile spread across my lips, "You shouldn't be this smart."

He smirked, winking at me as he made a turn, "and you shouldn't look this hot."

My heart did the flutters and then the car pulled to an abrupt halt, startling me.

"Leon. What are you doing?"

"Back of the car baby. I want to do it," He crooned.
