It had to be Xony who sent those people to beat me up because he was the only one I had beaten up so badly. I never even visited him in the hospital but I sorted the bills.

This was also not the first time I had been gang-beaten. It was one of the downsides of the job, but it was mostly from sore losers who couldn't handle being defeated and wanted to get their money back.

I struggled to stand on my feet and I limped my way home.

I walked in and the first thing I noticed was the darkness and quietness. Nivea was probably asleep which was a good thing. I don’t want her to see me all battered and bruised.

I carefully tried to maneuver my way around the house but ended up hitting and falling on some things which I had to pick back up. I just hoped I didn’t wake her up.

I also noticed my blood was dripping on my floor but I didn’t care right now, I just wanted to get to my room, clean up my bloody self, take some painkillers, and fall asleep.
