KYLIE's POV

I woke up in a dimly lit room, with my body vaguely hurting. I wanted to sit up, but I knew that would require great effort, and my strength was too depleted for it. So I simply lay there waiting to feel better. But I wasn't sure I was going to be feeling anytime soon.

I looked around at the unfamiliar room and spotted a familiar face framed in a picture.

"Elijah." I sighed. Of course, it was his room. He had brought me here. I closed my eyes trying to remember the events of the past couple of hours.
