ELIJAH's POV

Our captives looked hopeless, and I was glad. This was exactly the state I had hoped they would be in when it was time to deal with them. And now I would get all four of them.

One of them would give me the information I was looking for.

“Round us up? For what reason exactly. We haven’t even done anything?” The first man said, sounding very angry and defensive. His behaviour made me yearn to reconstruct his face.

“No? You just happen to be living in my girlfriend's building, out of all of the buildings present?”

“It’s a nice building.” He said and shrugged, “ besides, she doesn’t live here anymore.”

“Gee, I wonder why.” Jason said , his tone full of sarcasm.

"You don't have to do this. We aren't after your girlfriend, okay? We just wanted to have a taste of normal teenage lives. Is that so wrong?" the girl who had looked anxious a moment ago said.

I looked to Jason, who looked at me and I made a face.
