Chapter 47

The ride home was unbearable. I wanted to ask if Chris was at the office to talk to Oliver but when i reached our office, Oliver was already gone.

I tried calling him on the phone but his phone is switched off. And when i asked around the building, Sherry just told me that Oliver had some work he needed to do and left a few minutes ago.

And now, i am on my way home because i couldn't leave work with both our seats empty. I sighed over and over again as the traffic kept dragging me back and by the time i got out of the cab, i was more than frustrated.

I basically ran up the stairs and raced my way through the hall. I wrestled with my bag as i looked for my key and finally opened the door.

When i walked in, i found MC in the kitchen making dinner and Oliver was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey." MC greeted me as she stirred whatever it was that she was making and glanced back at me over her left shoulder. "You're late." She commented before turning back.
