Ava’s POV

Steve led me down a long hallway, his hand hovering protectively near my elbow without actually touching me. I could feel the tension radiating from him with each step we took, and it was impossible to ignore how his shoulders seemed to carry the weight of the world.

"This is the guest room," he said softly, pushing open a door to reveal a beautifully decorated space with soft cream walls and a large, inviting bed. "There are fresh towels in the bathroom, and if you need anything at all, just call for one of us."

I turned to face him, taking in the way his jaw was clenched and how his hands kept fidgeting at his sides. The nervous energy coming off him was almost palpable.

"Steve," I said gently, reaching out to touch his arm. "Are you okay? You seem really nervous."

His eyes widened slightly, and he immediately shook his head. "No, I'm not nervous. I'm fine. Just want to make sure you're comfortable, that's all."

The lie was so obvious that I almost smiled. He was trying s

Ava's POV"Nice clothes," Zayne said with a grin, his eyes taking in my oversized outfit. "Though they would've looked better if it were my clothes.”"Shut up," Irish muttered, and I watched as Zayne immediately swallowed whatever comment he'd been about to make next.Zayne's expression suddenly shifted to one of concern as he studied my face more carefully. "Are you feeling alright?" he asked, stepping closer. "Your cheeks are really red. Are you getting sick?""No!" I said quickly, perhaps a bit too forcefully. "I'm fine. Completely fine."I could see Zayne's eyes moving meaningfully between Irish and me, taking in our slightly

Writer’s POVZayne carefully tore open the envelope, his brow furrowed in concentration as he unfolded the letter inside. His eyes moved across the page, reading silently for a moment before his expression suddenly shifted. Without warning, he burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the room and leaving everyone else staring at him in complete bewilderment."What on earth is so funny?" Steve demanded, his voice tinged with both confusion and mild irritation at being left out of whatever joke his brother had discovered.Irish, unable to contain his curiosity, walked over and positioned himself behind Zayne's shoulder to peer at the letter. As his eyes scanned the contents, his own face broke into a wide grin, and soon he too was laughi

  • My Triplet Alphas   Chapter 148

Ava's POVThe next morning, I woke up in the hospital bed feeling infinitely better than I had the day before. The pounding headache had dulled to a manageable throb, and the fog that had clouded my thoughts was finally beginning to lift. The memory of Steve's kiss still lingered on my lips, making my heart flutter every time I thought about it.A soft knock on the door interrupted my thoughts, and I looked up to see a doctor entering with a clipboard in hand. He was followed closely by Steve, Irish, and Zayne, all three of them looking like they hadn't slept much. Steve's eyes immediately found mine, and the relief that washed over his face made my chest warm."Good morning, Miss Ava," the doctor said with a professional smile. "How are you feeling today?""Much better," I replied honestly. "The headache is almost gone, and I don't feel as dizzy as I did yesterday.""Excellent," he nodded, making notes on his clipboard. "Your latest scans look good, and I'm comfortable discharging yo

  • My Triplet Alphas   Chapter 147

Writer's POVVanessa rested on the hospital bed, her eyes fixed on the ceiling tiles as she tried to count them for what felt like the hundredth time that morning. The sterile white room felt suffocating, and despite her body's need for rest, her mind was restless. She had been patiently waiting for the triplets or even Ava to come visit, but the hours seemed to drag by with painful slowness. The boredom was eating away at her sanity. She shifted uncomfortably against the pillows, her body feeling confined by the hospital environment. Where were they? She understood they probably had their own lives to attend to, but the silence and isolation were beginning to weigh heavily on her spirit.A soft knock interrupted her brooding thoughts, and she looked up hopefully as a nurse entered the room with a warm, professional smile."Good morning, Vanessa," the nurse said cheerfully, stepping closer with a small medication cup in her hands. "How are you feeling today? Are you ready to take your

Writer's POVZach sat slouched on a couch, a cigarette dangling from his lips as he stared down at the man kneeling on the floor in front of him. Four other men stood around the room like silent sentries, their faces hard and emotionless. The coffee table in front of Zach was covered with small plastic bags filled with white powder, stacks of cash, and a sleek black pistol. This was a side of Zach that no one from his college life had ever seen."So," Zach said, taking a long drag from his cigarette before exhaling the smoke slowly, his voice deadly calm. "Want to explain to me one more time why you failed to deliver the package to Henderson?"The man on his knees, barely more than a kid,
