CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND SIX

There’s something about the fairies that awakens something different within me. I can’t quite pin down what that is. I don’t understand how creatures so different from us could affect me the way they did.

Yet it heals something within me that’s been broken. I feel closer to my mate. I feel more alive again. I feel like the Alpha I am.

“Do you think we should tell them?” Lucas asks, as we see some of the pack members going about their day. “I’m sure they might want to know about the fairies surrounding our land. They might at least be curious about it.”

At that, I feel oddly defensive. Usually, I share everything with my pack. I am the leader after all. That’s how it should be.

Yet this is something I feel like I want to keep to myself. Or at least something I just want to share between Lucas and me. I can’t explain why. It just seems special.
