Chapter 19

Evangeline's POV

Three days had passed already when I became the warrior's new head, and my life has been busy these days. But despite that, I still noticed something.

Alpha Maximus never showed his face to me. He didn't disturb me when I was giving orders to the warriors about what they should do to protect the pack from the enemies. In short, he's been absent these past few days.

“Evan!”

I turned around, and saw David walking into my direction. My brows furrowed, while waiting for him.

“Are you busy tonight?” David asked.

“Why?”

A smile formed on David's lips before speaking. Seeing that expression from him made me wonder what could be in his mind now.

And then he pouted his lips like a baby, which stunned me. Nothing really changed from him. He still acts like a baby, even though he's already a man.
