Eve got to her feet, shaking her head. She saw Craig and Sabrina scrambling to untangle themselves while Arec hurried toward her. “Go after the doctor!” Eve yelled at him. “I’ll follow you.” Arec skidded to a halt, then nodded at her and turned to run into the trees, following the doctor. The doctor screamed as he felt Eve lunge toward his exposed neck. Sabrina skidded to a stop about five yards away from them when she saw Eve move to bite the doctor.
