LOGINThey both stared at him, dumbfounded. The room was dead silent until one of them asked
“H-how? When? what?” “I got a better job that pays more and it will be good for us,; I had to take it” their dad said sitting down facing them both has they both stared at him. “What about Eva?” Aiden asked dropping the plate. His countenance dropped, slowing twisting into a saddened expression “She will have to learn how to live with your mom and she could come over during the holidays if she likes. Besides, we still have about a month here before we leave. You can still….. her dad said nonchalantly, happy about his new job. Ethan just sighed and asked “Are you going to tell Eva, you know, the exact reason why mom doesn’t love her?” “Yeah, are we going to leave her in complete control of a woman who doesn’t love her?” Aiden asked “I know your mom would change, she is not heartless and she just needs to learn to love Eva. J-just don’t tell her, at least not yet” her father said has he left to his room. Aiden and Ethan just stared at each other before proceeding to continue what they were doing before. Aiden and Ethan weren’t particularly close growing up. It was the love they both shared for their sister that bought them together… and now that she was no longer going to be with them like she before, things turned completely cold between them at home and very soon they won’t be in the same town. The sun rose once again shining brightly through each windows all over the city Eva woke up excited, knowing she had planned the day ahead of her; a walk to school with her brothers, her new class, to possibly make a new friend and then a nice lunch with Dad. Eva got up and hurried, going quickly to the bathroom to start her day, but before she could Luke knocked and told her She was needed downstairs by her mom. Eva came downstairs, responding to her mother’s call. “you called, mother.” “Yes, in fact I did. You’ll be changing schools.” She dropped the bombshell, not looking away from the nail job she was giving herself and leaving Eva in a state of shock. She was to now attend the same Academy as Luke and Lizzy. Eva stared for a moment before bursting into laughter. Her mom kept looking at her with no emotion. She asked, hiding her frustration and rage “What’s so funny? “Honestly, I’m not so sure anymore. I’m stuck between the fact that you thought I’d listen or that you still think I’m going to let you walk all over me” Eva said whilst trying to hold back her laugh. “well I’ll need someone to keep an eye on you. You seem to have… grown wings.” she said blowing the nail polish dry. “Now, you’re just being unbelievable; I have brothers at my school, mom” Eva stated, her patience reaching its limits. “Oh, they didn’t tell you? Hmm?” her mom said with a condescending smirk. Eva still stared at her with a hint of confusion and annoyance. “Your father got a new job in another state and they’d be leaving soon. Sorry, did I say soon? I think they were to leave tonight… I guess they didn’t tell you so you won’t be hurt” her mom added, her voice laced with contempt Eva was confused and shocked, not hearing a word her mother said afterwards . she asked herself if they would really leave without telling her? Even if they did, Aiden would tell her, right? Or could it be she is lying to get Eva to willingly change schools. but if she wanted to do that wouldn’t she have done that a long time ago? Eva didn’t know what to believe. She chose to wait for her brother hopefully she would prove her mom wrong. Eva stood at the door, waiting. She was supposed to have lunch with her dad, like always. She waited for hours and hours until Luke and Lizzy came home but she still refused to leave there. It was late. A few hours to midnight to be precise. Eva lay out a heavy and tired sigh as it dawned on her, finally believing that her brothers were truly gone. Her mom who was watching the whole time, picked her up from the ground to the table and dropped food in front of her. Her mother let out a soft sigh, her maternal instincts betraying her resolve to despise Eva. “I know you don’t like me and you know I don’t like you, but if you don’t eat you won’t have the energy to keep hating me. Don’t eat because I asked you too, at least eat so you can keep hating me” Eva mom said and left for her bedroom. Eva just sat there staring at her food and wondered “why does the world hate me being happy?”. She wondered why every time something she loved came her way, it always left… one way or another, when she needed it most. She listened to everything her mom said but she just couldn’t hate anyone or anything. This feeling she felt was familiar; that numbness in her heart, like she was further losing her emotions. She picked up her spoon and started eating. She had already lost her appetite but she wanted something to do other than think. When she finished, she took her plate to the kitchen, immediately washed it and went to her room. It was morning, the usual knock on the door signaling her it was time to get up. She reluctantly got up from bed, her feet dragging along the floor boards. She got ready and came down the stairs, Luke and Lizzy were surprised to see her in the state she was. Naturally, she would have left before then or they would leave before her but now she was eating breakfast with them “Are you feeling well new sissy? you don’t like sitting with us on the table?” Lizzy spoke in a curious voice As much as Eva wanted to remain quiet, this was Lizzy speaking; she couldn’t just ignore her. A slight smile slowly crept on her face and she spoke “Well I was thinking why don’t we start afresh, we’ll be attending the same school, isn’t that right” Eva said flashing an awkward smile at her before facing her food again. “The school bus has arrived” Eva’s mom said followed by a horn Luke picked up his bag and that of his sister and headed to the bus, Eva walked sluggishly into the bus. All the students were too busy chatting with each other to pay any attention to the fact that there was a new student amongst them. Eva just walked all the way to the back of the bus were a girl was sitting and just sat quietly. The girl glanced at her, Eva could feel eyes on her as she turned to the girl who now seemed to be sizing her up. “Is there a problem?” Eva asked The girl gasped, leaving a shocked expression on her face and suddenly, she shouted “Oh my God”Eva was so scared she stumbled backwards and hit her head hard on the tiles, she fell to the ground, she touched her head and it was bleeding, the wall was also covered in blood then she blacked out ……… In the morning, some drops of water fell on her face, she woke up and looked around before she sat up straight trying to recall what had happened, then it hit her she checked her head but this time there was no blood, she wasn’t bleeding again but her hair was still stained and the walls too She stood up to look at the mirror, it was her reflection there, she sighed knowing fully well that it has something to do with her demon side and very soon she won’t be able to ignore it.She washed her face and her hair then she went ahead to clean the walls. She heard a knock on the door, then someone arrival ….It was Jayne, Eva looked around for anything out of the ordinary before adjusting her clothes and walking out of the bathroom to meet JayneShe came out and Jayne greeted her Good morn
“You must be joking” Jayne said before walking away, Eva followed her“I have a favor to ask, could I stay over at you place for prom?” Eva asked.“Sure”…Jayne Replied They walked to the nearest bus station and took a bus to Jayne place “here we are”Eva looked at Jayne then at the mansion she brought her too, Fredrick house is their living room, it was massive, Eva mouth was opened in shocked and awe“close your mouth and let’s go in” Jayne said walking to the door Eva quickly followed, they both stood at the entrance before the door opened itselfEva was about to ask how then Jayne waved a controller, she immediately understood, she entered the house and Eva looked around the mansion that could be a state on it’s own, she was fascinated with every turn, Jayne couldn’t help but giggle underneath her breath“you and your family live here alone?” Eva asked in curiosity and they proceeded to the elevator“No, it kind of like an hotel, most of my extended families live here, old ones gr
Jayne looked down at her phone and realized it was getting late, she called out for Eva but there was no response , she and Jane exchanged glance, they both decided to go check up on herThey were decided to split up, Jane walked around until she saw a shadow at a corner, she walked closer to it “Eva” she said slowly has she walked closer to it The moment she looked at the person their she was shocked and speechless, Jayne couldn’t find Eva where she was, so she went back to meet up with Jane She saw she was standing still at a concern, she went ahead to meet up with her but before she could say anything, she saw Eva,She was trying out a dress, it looked like the dress was made just for her, every curve, every turn she made in the mirror spoke elegance, graceful, she was a true definition of beauty, she was a girl and she still couldn’t take away her eyes Finally, she turn to her back and spotted Jayne and Jane, they finally noticed her hair was white and her eyes were flaming red
Ah, this is it!” the principal pulled out a form and handed it to each of them before explaining herself. She had called them to tell them that they had all performed excellently well and would love for them to participate in a ‘scholar’s exam’ which was to happen a week after the prom. She stated that if they participated in the exam, they would automatically graduate long side the seniors, skipping a year and it would help them get a huge opportunity of entering college on a scholarship.Jayne stared at the form in her hand, it felt too good to be true, her grip on the form was tight and the shocked expression didn’t go unnoticed by Eva, the moment she caught Eva eyes from the side, her emotions quickly shifted.Eva and John found it all very intriguing and too challenging to pass up. Eva accepted and Jayne didn’t hesitate either, then all eyes were on John for his decision, Jayne held his shoulder and squeezed it slightly before giving him an assuring smile. He looked at her and sm
Eva’s eyes widened in fear, cold sweat ran down her face and her stomachs were in knots. “What the hell is going on? What does he mean I’m to blame for all of this?”. Eva tried to run again. Maybe… just maybe, she could do something but Zeiran held her arm tight, it was starting to hurt her, she struggled to get free but it was all in vain. “Let me go!” Tears of guilt and pain started to stream down her face. She tried to scream but not a sound was heard; she felt like she was suffocating. Finally, Zeiran let her go, throwing her to the ground, her arm red from where he held. She landed on the floor staring at Zeiran. He stood there looking inhuman. She had never been so scared in her entire life. His gaze sent a chill down her spine as though she was staring at a monster, ready to devour her soul…“This is who you are and you have to accept that.” His voice echoed in her head, getting louder by the moment. Eva crouched to the ground and covered her ears as tears streamed down. She op
Eva eyes widened, she would love to leave but she noticed there was a bit of worry in her eyes, Eva walked up to her and asked“What is wrong?”“I spoke to my lawyer and found out he planned to summit his files next month and he thought it would be wise for us to leave the house before that day.” her mom explained. “It’ll be safer for us and you don’t have to switch schools…”Eva listened to everything her mom said, and agreed to it.Her mom smiled then left her room. Eva sighed in relief and bent down and trying to grab something under the bed. She brought out a suit case and placed it in her closet instead“Why are you doing that?” Zeiran asked her.Eva turned to him almost forgetting he is was still here, “So I can pack my stuff easily.” She explained while setting up her bag, Zeiran finally stood up from her bed and walk towards her.He gently grabbed her chin pulling her gaze up to him. “I might as well give milady a small piece of advice. Don’t think it is over and everything wi
