"WE'RE going home?" Lara asked calmly.

Maximo looked at her. "What do you think you did earlier? Are you trying to seduce all the men around you?" There was a hint of anger in his question.

She looked at the man's face. "I didn't do anything wrong. I just sat there," she answered innocently.

"Really? You want me to believe that?" His voice rose.

"Did l tell you to believe me? I didn't, did I?" She wanted to respond sarcastically, but he might think she was disrespectful. So, she kept her mouth shut.

They were silent while riding the elevator. When the elevator stopped on the floor where Maximo's presidential suite was, she was surprised when the man picked her up.

"W-Wait. What are you doing, S-Sir?" she asked nervously.

"It's time for you to pay for what you did a while ago," Maximo said with a husky voice.
