"Ranger aspirants of Triven, gather around".
It was morning and all the aspirants of the institute gathered outside to be assigned to their masters and also given their level up bracelets and start their journey to fully becoming rangers of Triven. Each sensei was assigned to 18 aspirants to train, and help them get to the next level. And by the end of every session, the best aspirants under each sensei would compete against each other for the ultimate prize of the year; grand aspirant. It was also accompanied with a huge level up, as the winner can skip two levels which is within one year, at most if he wishes to from the eight levels they have to pass through in the institute. Lilith silently prayed within her that she would get a good sensei. Someone she could understand and have a connection with. And she also wished she will not be assigned to the same sensei with Nex. She really didn't want to see his face anymore, after what happened last night. Plus in the kid rangers institute, there were both assigned to the same sensei and he literally got all the attention during training because he was the grand sensei's son. She really did not want to experience such cheating here. "Look at your left wrists and you would see your bracelets already there. And as you all know, your stats, improvements and deterioration will be recorded in those projected bars it reveals. Also, we shall have our master record to keep an eye on everyone and show you the way out if you feel you have overstayed your welcome". A great murmur rose among them all as they listened to the sensei speak from the pulpit where he stood. "Silence!" He ordered and immediately silence was restored to the place. "Good" he breathed. "Now we have sent to your bracelets the location of your different senseis. So everyone locate where your training class is holding at the moment and begin immediately". At his last words, all of them dispersed like little chick, searching for their lost mother hen. Lilith followed the path her bracelet led her to, deep into the trees from last night. She was really relieved that Lyra was fine all thanks to Andreas. She walked futher till she got to a flower gateway that stopped her from going futher. She slowly opened the flower gate and was surprised with what she saw. It was a very calm and peaceful place, full of green grass and blooming flowers. She would have called it a perfect garden, except that she noticed all the fighting and training equipments that were stored in a small open cottage not to far from where she stood. "Your name?" An aged man in his late fifties asked her from behind as she was still admiring the place. "Lilith Amnell, sensei" Lilith turned and bowed to him after getting over the shock. "Oh Lilith" he drew her in for a hug which actually caught Lilith off guard. “You are my final student. Obviously a late comer" he drew away from her, leading her to where the rest of her brothers and sisters were. "Never mind” he shrugged. "Being on time really isn't my thing though. Now take a mat over there" he pointed at the cottage "and seat where ever you feel is comfortable for you". Lilith took a mat from the cottage and rejoined the class. She looked at all the faces there and didn't find Nex, but there was Lyra. She really wished they won't cause any trouble, afterall there was no Nex to fight over. She spread her mat beside another aspirant and paid attention to what the sensei had to say. "Now listen up dear aspirants, l am sensei Helia" he began in a caring voice. "Despite the differences in origin and style, most martial arts consist of similar techniques and skills that form a base for the art. Some general basic moves shared by most martial arts styles are kicking, striking with the open hand, leg sweeps, parries, elbow and knee strikes, punches, and various evasion tactics. Most styles incorporate footwork, as well as stances that facilitate either defense, attacking, or both. Many styles also use grappling. Those arts typically also use throws, take downs, chokes and bars, submission holds and other mat work techniques. All martial arts disciplines utilize a combination of meditation, study and repetition of moves and forms. Sparring or grappling are also practiced as you ascend through instruction on their way to mastery. Boom!" He suddenly exclaimed, getting all of his trainees shocked. They all jolted, holding their already flown hearts and wondering what would make him exclaim that way. Like he wanted their souls to leave their body. "Lesson one, never let your enemy take you by surprise. Be ready for anything, all the time"...In the vast expanse of the cosmos, where stars and planets dance to the rhythm of gravity and time, lies a realm of forgotten worlds. “The usurper has been defeated, Crown Prince Andreas. Please take your place as the king of Gorgor and rule us.” Lord Gerrant bowed as he spoke to Andreas, who had Lilith clutched in his arms.“Do you accept to be our king, to rule us, lead us to greater heights, and uphold our honor and glory among other worlds?!”He listened to what he said carefully, and he knew that was how it all would end. From the moment his father died at the hands of Lord Varnaak, who had declared his intentions to usurp the throne, he was only grateful that he had Lilith beside him to help him fight the battle and win over the greedy lord.He was only unhappy about the people he lost: his father and Karen. They were both very dear to him, and their deaths really hurt him as he believed he had failed them.‘But now it was all over; this was finally the end,’ he consoled himself, looking upon the remaining lords and ladies of the throne room and Lord Gerrant, who spoke to him directly. He had lost his daughter
“So you knew Lilith was responsible for Florate’s death all this while and you kept it hidden from me? Why?!” Rain questioned Thygas in tears.“Dre made me promise not to tell anyone; he did not want her to live in guilt,” he explained, looking very sad that she was crying before him.It had not been long since he woke up, and she refused to wait till he was fully healed before bombarding him with the load of questions she had. He felt terrible to hear the things Lilith did to her, which she only found out last night from his father. How she promised Nex a one-night stand with her just so she could switch their files and become the light mutant in her place. ‘So that was the unfinished deal Nex mentioned the time he asked him why he wished to join Florate in saving them,’ Thygas thought, finally putting two and two together. However, he was actually happy that she succeeded in becoming the light mutant because, according to what the head scientist said, Rain’s genes were not powerful
“What is taking them so long?” Rain puzzled, pacing up and down in the room while Lilith simply sat quietly on the bed. It’s been hours already since Thygas and Andreas left them there, asking them to stay back while they go check out what was going on in the throne room. “I honestly do not have a good feeling about this, I am going to see what happened” Lilith immediately stood from the bed, trying to make her way out of the room while Rain followed her closely but they were stopped immediately when Thygas appeared in the room, looking seriously injured and falling on the bed as soon as he entered. “Oh my goodness!” Rain exclaimed, “Thygas?!” She and Lilith rushed towards him immediately. “What happened to you?” Her eyes were already tearing up as she raised up her face to meet the horror he looked like. “What happened Thygas?” Lilith’s whose heart was pounding already began questioning as well, “where is Andreas?!” Thygas made an attempt to answer their questions but before he
“Father?!” Prince Andreas rushed immediately to where he lay in a pool of his own blood.“No, Father! Wake up! Wake up now! Open your eyes! You are the king of Gorgor!” Andreas was vigorously shaking his lifeless father, hoping he could jolt him back to life somehow.“Why are you doing this, Father?!” Thygas, who followed Andreas closely, questioned his own father, wanting to know the reason why he attacked his own king!“The time for weaklings to rule Gorgor is over from today henceforth, son!” he declared boldly. “I, Lord Varnaak of Gorgor, will no longer allow weak King Radia and his lineage to rule us anymore. They have brought us so much pain, loss, and sorrow. I cannot bear to watch this go on anymore, and I must fight against it and stake my claim as the rightful ruler of Gorgor!”This speech of his earned a loud gasp from the lords and ladies of honor who began trooping into the throne room right after Andreas and Thygas.“Are you mad?!” Thygas could not believe the nonsense h
The throne room was dimly lit, the only sound the soft flickering of torches casting eerie shadows on the walls. King Radia sat on his throne, lost in thought, when suddenly, Lord Varnaak emerged from the darkness. The king's eyes narrowed, sensing a shift in the air."Lord Varnaak," King Radia said, his voice low and even. "I didn't expect you."Lord Varnaak's smile was cold and calculating. "I've been waiting for the perfect moment, Your Majesty," he replied, his eyes gleaming with ambition.Without warning, Lord Varnaak unleashed a wave of illusions, making it seem as though the king was surrounded by multiple versions of himself. King Radia, caught off guard, stumbled back, his powerful blows swinging wildly but hitting nothing.Lord Varnaak seized the opportunity, conjuring a shard of ice that glinted in the torchlight. The king, unaware of his weakness, didn't react in time as the shard pierced his side. He stumbled, his strength waning as the cold spread through his veins. The
