CHAPTER NINE

“Lawson, is this the document you need to work on?” They were really in the middle of something and were really enjoying themselves.

I stood there for a few minutes, shocked before he eventually answered.

“ I told you Caroline can join us for a threesome right? Here is your chance, you can actually join us. Remember you made a promise and this is our little secret”.

“ Having me join you to have a threesome with our maid is our little secret? Definitely this isn't your first time, no wonder you took my complaint about how she saw us in the afternoon with levity hands. Am sorry I can't do this with you”.

“Then you must be ready for the consequences” he said and continued fucking Caroline as she moaned in return.

Caroline on the other hands didn't care about my new discovery, all she ever was interested in was how she was been fucked hard by my husband, she keeps giving it to him back to back while I stood there watching for some time before I left for my room.

Is this really happening to me? I asked myself, but it is really happening.

I didn't cry, took my phone and called my mother.

“ Hello Rachel, why are you calling at this godly hour?” She said and sounded sleepy.

“I caught Lawson having sex with Caroline in the house and he said it's nothing serious that I can even join them for threesome”. I lamented 

“ Is that why you are calling me at this time of the night? Why not accept it's nothing if he said so, you should join them and enjoy yourselves dear. Everything will be fine, just do everything he asks of you please. Don't forget our agreement”. She said and hung up the call.

Is this what my mother would say?

I also dialled my father's number “Rachel, what happened this time, is it always about Lawson, what did he do this time that made you disrupt my peaceful sleep”.

I explained everything to him.

“You don't need to be calling every now and then, just dance to his tune and that settles it. You should be happy he is willing to share, it's nothing serious and it will be fun. I need to sleep if that's all”. He also hung up.

I needed someone to talk to at the moment but didn't have anyone.

I remember Aaron, he would have been the best person to talk to but he is also a betrayer. I remember I actually needed to find out what happened, how he ended up dating Grace.

I heard Lawson and Caroline chatting and laughing but I ignored them. A few minutes later, Lawson walked in, moved to the bed and slept off without a single word.

If you can't beat them, you should join them.

That's my conclusion.

I also climbed the bed and slept as if nothing happened.

The next morning, I drove to Aaron's house to confront him to know exactly what was happening.

“ What are you doing here?” He said immediately he saw me

“ I came to see you, let's have a conversation”.

“ why should i have a conversation with you after what you did, you have the courage to talk now after you achieved your aim right”. He said almost shouting.

“What are you saying Aaron, I don't understand”.

“Now you are claiming innocence, you think I won't find out? You left me for that good for nothing man just because of money”.

“ I would also make it and be a big man, then I will marry your sister. I love her, she is different from you, she loves me for who I am and not because of money”.

“ Leave my house this minute, I don't want to have any more conversations with you, you're a betrayal”.

“Aaron calm down, let me get this straight. I told you how my family forced me into marrying Lawson, didn't I? They made me marry him because my father borrowed money for my mother's operation from him, I am not lying believe me”.

I can see the shock on his face, his countenance changed.

“ How do you mean Rachel? Tell me about it.”.

“ I am not lying, my father, mother and even Grace begged me to accept to marry Lawson. I didn't want to do it but I considered the fact that where do we see such an amount of money to refund Lawson”.

“ Yeah I remember you told me that but they made me believe you lied to me,Grace told me you left me because Lawson has many houses and cars, and he is more influential than I am. Your mother even confirmed it. I was so depressed that you tricked me, then I became friends with Grace and she said she would be by my side and if I would like to marry her she is available, we became lovers not quite long”.

I was so angry, I felt like seeing Grace that moment and strangling her to death. I was also disappointed in my mummy, what could be the reason for their action, I need to know.

“I need to confirm all of these from mother and Grace, and know the reason why they are cruel to me”. 

Headed out and went straight to Face mother and Grace.

“ Grace, how dare you? You are evil,what have I done wrong,I had supported this family,I always sacrificed my happiness to make everyone smile in this family, what is my offence? I started shouting as I stepped in.

“ What is this noise all about?” My mother said from inside her room and as she came to the sitting room to ask.

I met Grace in the sitting room watching a movie. She acted as if she didn't understand what I was saying.

“ Mother, what have I done to you and Grace that made you lie to Aaron that I married Lawson for money, Why mother?” And to crown it all, Grace is now dating Aaron. Is this your plan all along?”

Mother was dumbfounded, she was shocked, and the question of how I got to know was clearly written on her face.

“ Rachel, you need to calm down here, we all know you accepted to marry your husband to help this family from the debt we owe Lawson, that's all. 

What is this all about?” She still feigns ignorance.

“ Mum, I met Aaron and he told me everything you both said about me for marrying Lawson and I am disappointed”.

“Disappointed my foot, Are you only made for good things? I had loved Aaron since the first day I saw you both together and I seized the opportunity of mummy's condition to make him mine. I made Lawson demand that you marry him so that you can leave my man for me. That was so easy, now that you found out, you can go to hell”.Grace shouted and left the sitting room.

"Mom,you didn't say anything?" You won't have anything to say since you orchestrated everything from the beginning. I do t want to have anything to do with you both" I left without looking back.
