“Caroline, sorry for how I reacted earlier, my day was not too good. Please set the dinning if dinner is ready?”. I apologised and ordered her immediately I got downstairs 

“Alright I hope it's not too bad.” She immediately started carrying out my orders.

I noticed Lawson was not back and it was 8:47 pm already. This wasn't unlike him, then I gave him a call, the phone kept ringing without him picking up twice then I gave up.

Aaron sent the address of where we would be meeting the next day. It's a restaurant, a very familiar and popular one.

Around 12:45 am, Lawson entered but he was drunk and stinking of alcohol.

“I called you severally but you won't pick up, where are you coming from at this time of the night ?”

“ This is in usual, 

“I am coming from the club, didn't hear my phone ringing, and what authority do you have to question me, I need to sleep right now”. Moves to the bed and sleeps without removing his clothes.

              THE NEXT DAY

It's a normal day, and the day's activity started without talking about what happened yesterday.

Lawson went to work as usual, but informed me he would be home late today because he would be seeing some clients, which is also a perfect timing for where I am going to.

“ Good afternoon, I am the driver of the ride you ordered,I am outside the address you gave us,” a guy called to inform me.

“Caroline,i am going to see a friend, will be back in a jiffy” then off I go to HAVEN RESTAURANT.

I arrived at 3:57 pm, and I was ushered in by one of the workers who was outside before I arrived.  

Aaron was inside already, sitting on a VIP table for two.

“ I am honoured to have you here” he says as I approach him.

He ordered salads, rice bowls, pasta, soups, and grilled fish.

I had a great day being with him.

“Can we still be friends?” He asked the question I was waiting to hear.

“ You should know I am a married woman now, but I will always find time for you. Let's do this again some other time”. I meant what I said because I also deserve to be happy.

I left there exactly at 9:40 pm, ordered my ride back home and got home at 10:20pm although Aaron volunteered to drop me which I declined.

I noticed Lawson is not yet back from work,I freshened up, changed into a night gown and off to bed. I slept without seeing Lawson coming back. The next morning, still no presence of him, then I called.

“Hello”. I heard a rumbling of paper then I knew he was in the office.

“ Guess you are in the office already? And you didn't even bother to check up on me or inform me of your whereabouts, is that how unimportant I am?”

“Well, I don't think you actually want me to answer that question, as you already know the answer. As you said, I am in the office and you are not a baby that needs to be checked up on every now and then. I need to go now, I will see you when I come back, I am so busy right now”. 

He hung up the call on me, I didn't feel so bad after all that is part of what I signed for,I went downstairs to watch a movie, and slept off while at it.

“ You should know this is a sitting room and not a sleeping room, what if I brought in a friend, how would you want me to feel seeing my supposed wife sleeping on a couch like a village girl” his voice woke me up.
