The Steak Cutting

The following day Evelyn woke up earlier to prepare for her journey to go back home. As she woke up, she bathed and went to the kitchen to prepare for breakfast. She found Alice in the kitchen already preparing for breakfast and the food was almost ready. Evelyn sat at the table which was already neatly set, Edith and her husband joined her at the table.

The door bell rang and it was Tom coming to say goodbye to everyone, they urged him to wait for breakfast but he refused. After he left all the people sat around the table to eat. After breakfast Evelyn took a taxi to town where she was supposed to take a bus to her home but Tom promised that he would wait for her. The main reason why he left first was to fool his family, they acted as if they were not travelling together and had nothing to do with each other.
