Marissa's POV

“That bitch finna drive me crazy.” I hissed.

I’d been keeping an eye on Lila for weeks, and now it was becoming quite impossible to understand her—more careful, more quiet approach to life. Lately, her aura tells me that she must be hiding something serious.

I already knew she was hiding something but her actions lately proved it must be something serious… something deadly!

All I can think about is the night she whispered Adrian's name in her sleep. It has been haunting me every time I see her. But that bitch just keeps a calm innocent look. What business does she have dreaming about him?

What does she mean by her past?

And why does it flip my stomach?

I’ll find out tonight.

I tiptoed quietly behind the tall hedges in the garden, trying hard not to give my presence away.

Lila stopped near the fountain and looked around before finally sitting. She looked worried, hand resting on her belly. For a moment, I thought she was there just to take some air, when a shadow flit

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   The first betrayal

Victoria’s POV"Luna," said a maid softly. "I think you'll want to see it."She extended a small folder. I took the folder and gestured for her to leave. "Close the door."As the sound of the door closing echoed in the room, I walked carefully to the window. I opened the folder carefully and began to read.It did not take a long while for me to understand what the paper held and its importance .It was a short file -just a few pages-but sufficient to ruin everything.Alpha Compatibility Test-Result: It showed a Positive for Alpha Lineage Traits.Twice, I read it. Thin smile curled my lips. Indeed.Lila's child carried Alpha blood. She lied it was Ethan’s child but this paper here proves that the child is not Ethan’s as Ethan was not an alpha hence he does not possess alpha blood or traits. That meant only one thing.Adrian.My son.Slowly putting the paper away, I watched as my fingers tremble, not from rage but from excitement. For a while, I stood there, my eyes gazing at the wa

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   The breaking point

Lila's POV I found Sophia in a small lounge near the library, sitting with a teacup by the window. She smiled at me. The tiredness was quite evident in her eyes."Lila," she said softly, "You ought to be in bed.""I had to talk to you," I said, shutting the door behind me.The frown appeared on her face instantly as she put down the cup. "What is it? Are you okay?" She asked, a note of concern creeping into her voice. I took time before answering, "Ethan. And Marissa."Her brow furrowed. "What about them?""They're being...nice," I said, more as an afterthought than anything else. She blinked in confusion. "Nice?"I continued, "Too nice. Ethan hasn't said a word to me for weeks, and now this sudden politeness. Marissa keeps watching me and she openly disliked me, which I was fine with- now she is all smiles and kindness. It doesn't fit."Sophia was quiet for a while, her expression thoughtful. "Do you think they are up to something?" "I-I don't know," I rubbed my hands together. "

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   Love or duty?

Adrian's POVThe royal archives were the only other place in the palace where silence had been guiltless. No whispering, no falsehoods- paper moving and time humming.I wasn't meant to be there. I was supposed to be sleeping and resting for the ceremony, but I needed this- I couldn't sleep until I found a way to protect her.Lila. What her name did to me still remained unexplainable. The moment I tried to occupy my mind with alternatives- the pack's borders, the council demands that were endless, my mother's manipulations, or Sophia- my mind would drift back to her.And now, thanks to my mother and her games, Lila's life was hanging by a thread-yet again. This was the whole reason I was here, pouring through laws not even an Alpha bothered to read in years. The old texts were heavy, their language archaic, and I continued to read about omegas' rights, the protections afforded to pregnant females, the circumstances that may lead to the overturning of a banishment. I flipped the pages

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   Closer to the truth

Lila's POVFive days after Rowan gave me a letter in the garden, and I was back in my room after a walk. “I see no reason why I should walk so much.” I groaned as I climbed the stairs, my belly bump now obvious. The guards were still standing at the end of the hall, stiff as always. Everything was normal.Until I opened the door.At first glance, everything seemed fine in the room. But stepping fully inside, I saw it. Just a little bit open, one drawer of my dresser. Not enough that it would alert anyone, but I could tell that someone had been poking around.I pulled it open the rest of the way. What I found was a gap in my scarves and some notes I kept from the healer. My medical notes were missing. No one else would care about them, but they meant the world to me. The had records sent to me by the healer-such as pregnancy details, bloodwork, early notes before I got here.My heart started to pound. Who would take them?Just one name popped into my head.Marissa. So I closed th
