Lance stared at the picture he and Gabriella had taken after graduating from the Special Forces Training Centre. He couldn’t help but shed tears, looking at the woman he loved. He placed his hand on his heart, trying to suppress the cold stinging pain he was feeling inside. The yearning was overwhelming; his felt like his heart was tearing into tiny pieces, prompting him to lay down on his bedroom floor; weeping bitterly as he recalled the incident at the mall.
“I want to see her again. I have to tell her that I love her.” Lance’s inner voice pondered as distress and anxiety crippled his mind, becoming his companion and giving him restless thoughts. Meanwhile, Sunny woke up feeling a little tired from her trip to town with Pavel. She found Saga eyeing her intently and this made her a little upset.
“I am sorry but boss said that I should watch over you.” Sage explained himself.
“….and where is he?” S
Wearing the beautiful dress and ornaments she had been gifted, Kedade headed down to the room Lady Fay had directed her to go and dance for a prominent foreign guest who had just arrived. Her heart was at ease, knowing that she was only going there to dance for man in his private suite. Arriving at the entrance of the suite, Kedade was ushered in by one of the door-bouncers; and when she had walked further into the suite, she met three men; Cube, Tony and Buxton who leered at her with sinister smirks after encircling her. Their behaviour gave her quite a fright since she had never seen them at the brothel before. In fact, this particular suite was quite alienated to her. except for the bar, she did not even know that such a place existed at the brothel.“I am here to dance for the guest.” Kedade said, swallowing hard.“We know.” Cube replied, pushing her forward. Kedade lost her balance and fell into Buxton’ arms. He laughed, drawing deepl
Katrina’s trial ended with a sentence of life prisonment for her frienzied attack on Police officers; laeding to the death of two Officers on duty.. She also received an additional thirty year sentence for on charges of forgery, defamation and attempted murder of John. Although it was occurence, Katrina's conviction did not come as a surprise to anyone. Her case was an open and shut; backed up by witnesses and solid evidence. Outside the courtroom, Lance thanked his lawyers and when they had left, he turned to Amanda, thanking her for her help as well.“Anytime, Daniel. You're a good guy.” Amanda said beamingly.“Good guy, huh?” Lance laughed heartily. “I feel like i have to pay for this compliment you gave me.”“I like the sound of that.” Amanda said, chuckling.“I knew you would.” Lance said as john joined them.“On that note, a payment will be made to you with th
Saga left Pavel’s room as soon as Sunny walked in with his evening meal. After feeding him, she gave him some tablets prescribed by the doctor and tried to leave but Pavel held her back.“You haven’t been yourself for the past one week. Are you feeling unwell or maybe I did something to upset you?” Pavel asked her. Sunny didn’t reply. All she could do was think about what Saga had told her seven days earlier.“I am afraid he has fallen for you and it won’t end well for both of you.” Saga’s voice echoed in her head.“Sunny, I am talking to you.” Pavel nudged Sunny’s hand, awakening her from her thoughts.“Mm, it is nothing. Don’t worry.” Sunny said; trying to leave once again but Pavel grabbed her shoulders and rolled over her, looking into her eyes; searching for sincerity. Frenzied, sunny looked back at him.“Didn’t you miss me at all?&rd
Lance walked into the Chief Agent’s office as soon as he was summoned in. Looking up, the Chief grimaced as their eyes met. It was obvious that he was still holding grudges against Lance. Lance regarded his superior with a warm greeting but he a vapid response; followed by a cold stare.“What happened this time?” the Chief asked, shifting his gaze to the computer.“I went to Saba as you instructed.” Lance replied with hope. “My suspicions were correct. Agent 505 was injured at the time she was taken with the other girls. She could be in grave danger and our mission may be compromised.”“And whose fault is that?” The chief asked, looking at Lance angrily.“It was an innocent accident. None of us foresaw it.” Lance told him.“Excuses!” The Chief shouted, banging his fist on the table. “There is no room for accidents in our line of work, Cortez? You&rsquo
The sound of thunder and flash of lightning crippled Lance with fright and anxiety as it rained heavily making him fidget uncomfortably as he lay down on his bed. He was heavily perspiring and his body temperature has risen drastically. Moaning painfully, Lance lifted his arm up, helplessly reaching out to thin air and wishing that his beloved was by his side. Suddenly, Vivian caught his lingering hand with both her hands, consoling him with gentle caresses.“Hush now. I am here for you.” She said, looking at Lance with utmost concern. After gaining consciousness, Lance could not bring himself to let Vivian go back to her house in the pouring rain. He rather accommodated her in the spare room; allowing her to borrow his clothes for the night. Strangely, Vivian had not reacted negatively to the fact that Lance had changed her clothes when she was unconscious. This was fishy to Lance as he expected her to run amok; at least even for a short while but V
Sunny woke up with a terrible headache. During breakfast, she told Pavel about it and he added some pain relievers to the course of medication that she was already supposed to take but the headache did not subside. Pavel cleaned up the room so that Sunny could rest there quietly as he had some important matters to discuss with Saga in his room. After resting for half a day, Sunny woke up and went to the balcony where she gazed at the skies hypnotically. Suddenly, her thoughts drifted to the time she and Pavel had gone shopping at the mall. Sunny could not help but think of Lance. She had seen him for the first time at the mall but she had a gut feeling that she knew him all too well.“….and he seemed to recognize me as well.” Sunny thought as she idly walked around the terrace. “Who is that me? Why do I recall hugging him so passionately? Could he be a family member?”“Who are you talking about?” Pavel asked as he app
Sunny was still in a haze when she opened her eyes and looked the room. Kedade and Lusha were curled up on a sofa, waiting for her to wake up.“Kedade….” She called out. Kedade and Lusha sprang up and walked to the bed, scrutinizing her.“Thank God you are awake.” Kedade said as she subconsciously took Sunny’s hands into hers. “you really gave us a scare.”“What happened, Kedade?” Sunny asked as she sat up on the bed.“We are supposed to be asking you that question, girly. You just started screaming hysterically and then you passed out soon after that.” Kedade dramatically explained.“I was having these flashbacks. I could decode them though.” Sunny briefly explained. “I keep recalling this man I haven’t seen before and we seem so close. To be honest, I see his face in my dreams quiet often too.”“You have started regaining your memor
Sunny woke up in the morning, sneaked out of the room and went to Kedade’s room. Kedade was surprised to see Sunny at her doorstep but she let her into the room anyway. “What brings you here?” Kedade asked as she offered me a seat. “I do not want to have a child with Dario.” Sunny said. “Please help me, Kedade.” “That is not for you to decide.” Kedade said. “There will be consequences for refusing…” Sunny looked at Kedade sorrowfully. Her eyes were full of pain and doubt. Kedade moved closer to her and wiped the tears that were rolling down Sunny’s cheeks. She could not help but feel sorry for her but what could she, a lowly slave do to save Sunny from her current predicament? “I can feel your pain, but there is nothing I can do to help you.” Kedade told Sunny. Kedade was saddened but it was better to tell Sunny the truth than to give her false hope. “Please Kedade, help me.” Sunny’s inner voice pounded. She was about to plead
