Chapter 3: Who Am I?

He saw the frightened expression on my face. The werewolf's eyes suddenly turned to pity for me. I also can catch a glimpse of sadness in his eyes. He finally changes back into a handsome man.

It is freaking me out to see someone transform into a werewolf and become human again.

The man extended his hand towards me. I didn't accept it because I was still in shock. Then he grabbed my arm, helping me to get up.

"I have shown my true self. Do you still not remember me?" asked the man.

I ran scared. I did not even intend to answer that stupid question. It was so obvious that I did not know him. In fact, I have never seen a monster like that before. This time, I ran much faster than before. After learning the true form of that man, I was even more worried that He would kill me.

The guy is not trying to catch me anymore. From a distance, I looked back. His head was down as if he was sad.

The darkness of the night makes my body cold. I ran far enough. I moved away from the forest where I had regained consciousness. The man who was near me was nowhere to be seen. I am relieved too.

I catch my breath first. The city of Greenia that night started to rain. Clouds marched to the centre of the town. Raindrops wet my whole body. I lowered my head and looked at the clothes I was wearing. I don't recognize this outfit at all. I do not even remember buying a dress like this before. Is this my shirt?

Everything feels weird. I also felt something strange with my body. My height is taller. This body felt like a medium I had never been in before.

I feel like I am slimmer than myself. I am the centre of attention because everyone is looking at me. Why are they looking at me?

One by one step I tried to keep going. I was getting tired, so I ordered a taxi.

 A taxi stopped.

The driving m complimented me, "You are so beautiful, Miss".

"Don't mess around. I already have a fiancé," I replied nonchalantly.

"I'm just praising, not flirting with you," said the man.

I looked in the rear-view mirror of the car. I look different. I held my whole face, with a frown. Then, my eyes turned to the sky and the clock in the taxi.

It is evening. Maybe, I just saw it wrong. There is no way my face would change. That's what's in my mind if it wasn't because of the night, maybe because I was exhausted from running far enough that I could not see things any better.

Greenia City also feels strange to me. I've lived in this town for years. However, there is a foreign feeling inside me. I feel as if this is my first time coming to this city. I looked out the window all the way. I can see skyscrapers lined up along the road.

I do not know what's weird is me or around me. But, that is what I am feeling right now.

I reached into my pocket, did not find a penny in these clothes. I asked the taxi driver to wait.

When I arrived at my destination, my apartment looked very crowded. Many people filled the place. Everyone is grieving. Tears fell from their faces. They were dressed in black as if they were in someone's funeral.

I entered my apartment. All my furniture is out of place. All my friends gathered with full black clothes and the tears in their eyes.

"What happened here? I think this is my apartment. But, I did not even remember I invite them. Why are they dressing like that? Who died?" I askIt This is so weird.

My mother sat on the floor with tears in her eIt This was the first time my mother had come to my apartment in the five years we had been apart. My relationship with my mother has not been good since my father and mother divorced. I saw my mother of having an affair with my father's best friend.

I approached my mother and asked, "What are you doing in my apartment?"

My question was ignored by her. She seemed to be in her own world full of sadness. She sobbed. Her eyes look swollen.

"Mother, what are you doing here?" I shouted once again.

Hearing my higher tone, the woman turned towards me. She squinted her eyes.

"Who are you?" she asked as if she does not recognize me.

"What do you mean? I am Celine Young. Why are you here? Why are you crying?"

"Are you kidding me? Don't fool me!"

Mom does not believe that I am Celine Young. This is so weird. It seems, tonight everything feels strange.

"Celine Young is dead. Don't try to joke with me," Mom said, wiping her tears and then went inside.

I know my relationship with my mother is not good, but to call me a dead person is too much. I squeezed my hand, holding back my anger.

I turned my gaze towards the outside window, seeing the rain that was getting heavier. I remember to immediately take the money and then pay for the taxi that I have not had time to pay because I did not have any money with me.

I walked towards my room to take my money. On the way, I accidentally bumped into Ella's shoulder.

Ella Cordeline was crying too. Ella dropped her head onto my fiancé's shoulder.

I saw with my own eyes in front of me. Taylor Thomson patted Ella on the back as if to comfort her.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Who are you?" asked Ella and Taylor together

"Why are you guys hugging each other?" I asked back.

Taylor replied, "What's the problem if I hug her? Who are you to meddle in our business?"

"None of my business? You hug my best friend right before me, and then you say it's none of my business?" I shouted.

"Taylor is comforting me because I lost my best friend. Who are you? Are you Celine Young's best friend?" she asked gently.

"I am Celine Young!" I replied.

Ella and Taylor glanced at each other. Both of their eyes shook. Again, they both did not believe that I was Celine Young.

"I know losing Celine Young must be hard for all of her friends. However, you don't need to try to replace her. By the way, have you known Celine long enough? Why do I never see you?" she asked.

Before I could answer Ella's question, Taylor asked, "Have you seen Celine Young's body yet?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You came to see Celine Young's cremation ceremony, right?" she replied.

A question that stunned me. Immediately I looked around. This is my apartment. They wear black clothes. Who else died if not me? I held my head as I was confused by this increasingly strange situation. Taylor and Ella walked me to the crate where Celine Young's body was.

Taylor opened it for me so I could say goodbye to her because they both still thought I was a friend of Celine Young.

A woman with a fat body lay stiff in the coffin. Her face is exactly like mine. I see her from the hair to the toe. I really know her. She is me.

My hand moved in front of my face. My legs slowly weaken, and I take a few steps back in shock.

"Are you okay?" asked Taylor.

I did not answer him. While I was still confused about this situation, Taylor tried to comfort me, "Celine is a good girl. It must be tough to lose her."

I looked back at the glass window. This time, I am not looking at the rain. I see the reflection of my face vaguely. My face is not how my face is supposed to be. It is beautiful.

My hand go back to my face. I touch every feature of my face. These blue eyes are not mine. But how can I have these eyes? I feel my soft and pink lips. I need clarification on it. Tons of questions pop up in my head. But who can explain everything? What happened to my world?

If Celine Young is dead, who am I?
