Chapter 4: Who Poisoned Me?

"Who am I?"

This question floats in my brain. I immediately left Taylor and rushed to the bathroom. A large mirror stuck to the wall. This time, I could clearly see what my face looked like. It really confused me.

I washed my face many times with water, wishing I could change to the old me. But that is just a ridiculous idea. Water doesn't change anything.

My face does change to be beautiful, but this is not me. How could this all happen? I've never even had plastic surgery.

The figure of Celine Young lying in the coffin also disturbed my thoughts. Who is she? Why she has the same face and body as me?

My confusion needs to be answered. I can only find a clue if this whole thing needs to be clarified. Everything is just nonsense.

Someone seems to be about to break into my bathroom. I went into the room so as not to look suspicious.

From under the bathroom stall, I can see four shoes coming in. The pair of high heels are Ella Cordeline's, and a pair of Taylor loafers. I remember Ella's high heels because she used to wear it to parties with me. Meanwhile, Taylor's shoes were my gift for his birthday last year.

A kiss sounded from where I stood.

"Honey, slow down..." a woman's voice whispered. I know this colour very well. Ella Cordeline. My guess was correct; the shoes belonged to Ella. Was she really with Taylor?

I peeked through the gap in the bathroom door. Ella was sitting on the sink, and Taylor Thomson was standing right in front of her. Ella's hands are tied to the back of Taylor's neck.

They kissed each other again after Taylor replied, "I can't stand it anymore. I miss you."

After an intimate hug, Ella said, "Honey, Celine Young just passed away. Even we are still at the funeral home. Aren't we both going too far?"

Taylor leaned forward and whispered in Ella's ear, "Indeed. Because she's gone, I am free to have you now."

"You look so beautiful in this black dress, Ella," Taylor whispered.

"You must be sad to lose your fiancé. Let me cheer you up tonight," Ella replied in her husky voice.

"Your existence is enough to cheer me up. After all, I do not really love Celine. She never takes care of herself. She is much different from you. You are gorgeous and adorable," said Taylor.

I can't get angry or reprimand them because I am no longer Celine Young. All I can do behind this bathroom is cry. Without realizing it, tears welled up in my eyes. What my friend said is true if those two people betrayed me behind my back.

My heart was crushed instantly. My wedding was only a month away, and he made it easy for me to say my death was insignificant.

Ella acts indulgent in front of Taylor. She groaned at each of Taylor's kisses.

I can not take it anymore. I finally came out of the booth and cleared my throat. Taylor was surprised by my presence in that place. His mouth fell open, and his hand quickly covered her open mouth. Ella immediately fixed her hair.

"Sorry, I did not know anyone was in the bathroom," Taylor told me.

"I also do not know if the bathroom is a place for making out," I replied angrily.

Ella replied, "Wait. What were you doing in Celine's bathroom?"

"What about you? What were you doing in Celine's bathroom?"

My eyes and Ella's met each other. We could tell that we both hated each other right now. Meanwhile, Taylor looks awkward, like an elementary school kid who was caught by his teacher.

"I hope Celine Young is really dead, so she can't see all this," I whispered.

I came out of the bathroom with a badly hurt heart.

I still can hear Ella say to Taylor, "Who is she? Why is she so weird?"

My tears dripped. Slowly I avoid them. I stood in front of the casket, looking at my photo next to the white flower.

I reopened the casket. I held her arm and her wrist. The pulse is gone.

"Rise! Wake up!" I shouted.

I do not even know why I told her to get up when she was me. I tried to switch bodies, but my soul couldn't leave my new body. I am powerless to make her live again.

I sobbed. I do not know which hurts more, seeing my fiancé having an affair with my best friend or seeing my own death.

Passing by, the grieving people look sad. But, after seeing Ella and Taylor, I could not really believe my friends' and family's grief over my death. I thought that they were no different from Ella. They might be faking their tears.

I looked at my body with pity. I have tried so hard to be someone nice to anyone. However, it turned out that my departure did not make them sad at all.

When I held Celine Young's arm, I saw that her fingernails were green. This is not nailed polish.

Then, I checked the nape of his neck, which looked swollen.

"Azerathin," I whispered.

This is the effect of a dangerous drug that is toxic. It calls Azerathin. Someone has poisoned me. I checked her hair, the inside of her mouth, and some other body parts. Azerathin poison is a new poison that is very deadly without macro symptoms. If poison sufferers usually foam from their mouths when they die, people who die from Azerathin are not like that. They have characteristics that not many people know about.

I am pretty sure about my assumptions. However, I do not see any police here. Perhaps, no one realized that I was killed by someone.

I know this because I did the research for the needs of my novel. In my novel, a mysterious character poisoned Luna with this poison. I have studied the symptom of Azerathin. However, I did not think someone would do the same for me.

At this point, I realized that my death was not due to overwork and drinking coffee that damaged my heart.

No. It is not true. Someone has poisoned me. Who is it? Who kills me?
