The System Protocol

The digital contract floating above Kaelen’s head didn't just dissolve—it completely fractured into millions of blinding red shards.

The moment Valerius clicked the detonator, a massive, un-hackable analog virus code shot from our warship’s servers straight into the convention center's primary mainframe. Across the entire city of Neo-Aethel, the white corporate lights instantly flickered and turned a dark, blood-red syndicate crimson. The infrastructure was resetting.

"The main servers are down! The database is bleeding!" the high-ranking tech-investors screamed, scrambling toward the clogged exits as their personal tablets and cybernetic eyes began to display a single, flashing silver wolf emblem. "All our assets... they're being transferred to Obsidian-Under! We're wiped!"

Kaelen looked up at the red corporate lights, his chest heaving with pure, unadulterated panic. He looked at the shattered contract, then back to my face, realization finally crushing his soul. He hadn't just rejected a useless Omega; he had handed the keys to his entire multi-billion dollar empire over to his deadliest rival.

"Zylah..." Kaelen croaked, his voice cracking as he reached out a trembling hand toward my boots, his eyes slick with tears of absolute regret. "Please... we are fated. You can't let him do this. The Moon Goddess wove our souls together! You belong in the upper towers!"

I looked down at him, my expression entirely frozen, the silver crown lines on my chest glowing brightly against the dark leather.

"The Moon Goddess gave you a blessing, Kaelen," I said softly, my voice carrying the deep, echoing resonance of the Silver Luna. "But you preferred market shares. You cut the bond. And in my world... when you delete a file, it stays gone."

I turned my back on him, my silver coat swirling around my legs as I walked back up the ramp of the midnight-black warship. Valerius followed right behind me, his crimson eyes casting one last lethal glance at the kneeling prince before the heavy iron boarding doors slid shut with a definitive, metallic hiss that sealed the amphitheater away.

"All units, initiate final sector format," Valerius commanded into his tactical headset as the ship’s engines roared back to life, vibrating the entire cabin.

Through the thick reinforced windows of the warship, I watched the convention center shrink below us. Kaelen Jax was still on his knees in the middle of the debris, clutching his head as his corporate empire collapsed into red static around him, while Chloe screamed at the enforcers who were ignoring her. The hover-ship blasted back through the shattered glass ceiling, soaring into the dark neon sky.

Ten minutes later, we crossed back over the cavern boundaries into the dark steel sanctuary of Obsidian-Under. The entire rogue city was alive, thousands of outcasts lining the metal balconies, cheering and howling at the sky as the news of our hostile takeover flashed across the syndicate screens.

Valerius led me straight to the high command center—a massive room overlooking the subterranean metropolis, filled with humming analog servers and strategic holographic maps of the continent. He walked up to the central console, picked up a heavy, solid-silver crown lined with raw crimson data-crystals, and turned to face me. His amber eyes were filled with an intense, burning pride that made my heart hammer.

"You played them beautifully, my Queen," Valerius murmured, stepping close until his chest pressed firmly against mine, his scent of cedar and ozone completely surrounding me. He gently placed the heavy silver crown onto my head, his large fingers lingering in my hair. "The corporate packs think they own this world because of their digital networks. They have no idea that the real power belongs to the blood."

I looked out over the glowing rogue city, the weight of the crown settling securely on my brow as the silver circuitry on my skin pulsed in sync with the city grid. My silver wolf let out a triumphant, earth-shaking howl inside my soul. I wasn't the broken servant cleaning grease in the dark anymore. I was the High Luna of the Syndicate.

"This is just the first sector, Valerius," I said, a cold, sharp smile playing on my lips as I looked at the digital map of the remaining corporate packs flashing on the screen. "Kaelen was just the beginning. I want to format every single pack that ever turned their back on the outcasts."

Valerius’s lips curled into a wicked, devastating smirk. He reached down, gripping my hand tightly, the intense golden spark of our true mate bond flaring beautifully between us, solidifying our line. "Your network is my command, my Luna," he whispered against my lips.

Suddenly, an emergency red light flashed violently on the central console. Adrian rushed into the room, his face pale as paper.

"Sovereign! Luna Zylah! We have a critical anomaly!" Adrian shouted, his fingers flying across the keys. "When we formatted Kaelen's private servers, we uncovered a hidden, encrypted directory. It’s an old project file from eighteen years ago... labeled with your birth coordinates, Luna Zylah."

I froze, stepping away from Valerius toward the glowing screen. "My birth coordinates? What did my stepfather hide in there?"

Adrian pressed a button, bypassing the final firewalls. A massive, ancient video log flickered onto the screen. It displayed a dark, high-tech laboratory. And lying inside a glass bio-pod, covered in glowing silver tubes, wasn't a baby... it was a fully grown, ancient silver wolf carcass, its chest pulsing with a strange, dark violet energy core that looked exactly like the circuits on my chest.

A chilling voice echoed from the video recording—the voice of my supposedly dead biological father:

"If you are watching this, Zylah, then the corporate Alphas have failed to delete you. Do not trust the Sovereign. He isn't your savior... he's the one who engineered the virus that killed our entire bloodline."

The video cut instantly to dead static.

The room fell into an icy, suffocating silence. I slowly turned my head, my royal gold eyes locking onto Valerius. His massive frame had gone completely rigid, his crimson cyber-optics spinning rapidly in the dark as a drop of sweat rolled down his chiseled, scarred jaw.

The Architect of ExtinctionThe happy shouting from the streets below died out, replaced by a low, heavy hum that made the floor shake. The red neon lights along the dark steel walls cast long, bleeding shadows across the room. Just minutes ago, I thought this place was my victory lap. Now, looking at the broken glass and the dark screens, it felt like a trap designed just for me.The crystal bottle of medicine Valerius gave me sat empty on the desk, its last amber drops glowing like dying fire. I reached up and touched the heavy silver crown on my head. The crystals built into its edge suddenly felt heavy—not like a prize, but like a beautifully made leash."Adrian," my voice sounded hollow, cold, and far away. "Play the sound again. Separate his voice from the background noise."The young tech guy looked up, his hands freezing over the glowing keyboard. He glanced toward Valerius, waiting to see if it was okay to move, but the big man stood completely still. The dark tattoos on Vale

The premium air-conditioning hummed perfectly, keeping the scent of wealth, gold-plating, and expensive perfumes circulating through the massive glass amphitheater. On the center stage, Kaelen Jax was finalizing the digital signature for the pack merger. A massive holographic contract floated in the air above his podium, flashing blue confirmation rings."With this digital seal," Kaelen shouted, his voice amplified by the premium audio network, "the Jax Empire officially controls eighty percent of the continent's tech infrastructure! No glitch can stop us!"He pressed his biometric ring onto the digital document. The crowd erupted into deafening cheers. The Primordial AwakeningThe Citadel of Obsidian-Under did not look like the sterile, white-lit corporate towers of my old pack. This was an underground metropolis carved directly into a massive volcanic cavern—a city of dark steel, glowing crimson neon pipes, and raw, unfiltered cybernetic energy. Here, the outcasts, the hackers, and the true primal werewolves lived without corporate trackers or compliance chips.I woke up on a bed of heavy black silk inside the master tower room.My body felt... entirely different. The deep, burning ache of the broken mate bond was gone, replaced by a rhythmic, powerful pulse of energy circulating through my chest. The phantom wires that had bound my heart to Kaelen's network had been completely purged. I sat up, pushing the heavy silk sheets aside, and walked toward the floor-length smart-mirror lining the stone wall.I let out a soft gasp, my hand flying to my mouth as the screen activated. The pale, exhausted girl from the stage was gone. The Sovereign of the Low-GridThe doors of the black hover-ship slid open with a synchronized, heavy hiss. The steam rising from the vehicle’s under-carriage mixed with the toxic downpour of the Rain-Slums, creating a thick shroud of mechanical mist.I couldn't move. The agonizing poison of Kaelen’s rejection was actively shutting down my nervous system, leaving my limbs heavy and unresponsive. My vision was reducing to a narrow tunnel of fading light, but I could still see the towering figure descending from the ship.He was massive. He wore a long, flowing trench coat reinforced with dark carbon-fiber plates that caught the dim violet reflection of the distant city lights. His movements weren't like the clunky, over-augmented enforcers of Neo-Aethel. He moved with the terrifying, silent fluid grace of an apex predator. His face was sharp, carved from cold marble, but his eyes... his eyes were a piercing, glowing crimson cyber-optic that scanned the wasteland with lethal precision.I

Chapter 1: System RejectionThe electric violet and neon emerald lights of Neo-Aethel pulsed like a violent, living heart against the smog-choked sky. Tonight was the Cyber-Moon Gala, the most critical night of the fiscal year for the Obsidian Syndicate. Millions of viewers across the upper sectors were plugged directly into the neural stream, watching the annual Biometric Sync-Altar through their cybernetic optical implants. The digital traffic was at an all-time high, broadcasting live to every screen floating in the metropolitan skyline.I pulled tightly at the high collar of my crimson dress, my palms slick with cold sweat. I stood at the very back of the glowing obsidian stage, completely out of place among the elite heirs of the pack. Around me, the high-born werewolf ladies wore premium, silver-threaded gowns that shimmered with changing holographic patterns. Their claws were tipped with laser-sharpened carbon fiber, catching the artificial glare of the studio lights. They were
