“It’s Nothing. Just don’t cook any food” I said awkwardly. I don’t want to say anything until Nathan comes home. After I spoke, I saw them exchanging a look but before they could say anything more about this, I changed the topic. I’ve accepted my fate but that doesn’t mean my family has to go down with me.

“Nathan should be on his way home, right?” I asked. So much time have passed since I called Nathan requesting him to get our parents new IDs and passports he should’ve been home already by now. I wonder what’s taking him this long.

I checked the time it was past three in the afternoon.

“Yes, he has been gone for a while now, but he didn’t tell us where he was going” my mother answered.

I nodded. “Good. Can you both please sit down and let’s wait for him” my face was all serious. Nathan has to hurry up, we have to send mom and dad to the airport soon. Reunion time is already over as it began.
