I smiled at him. “I named the girls Amandla and Amanda, and named my son Anthony.” I told them.

“They have lovely names, and they are so beautiful too” my mother complemented her grandbabies with a smile on her face while she was still busy scrolling on my phone’s gallery, looking at more pictures of the kids.

“I’m disappointed princess” came the voice of my papa and my face fell at that. My dad continued. “But not because you got us grandbabies but because you didn’t trust us enough as your family and you had to go all through all of that alone with no support from the people who were supposed to love and care for you through thick and thin, but you decided not to inform us. I can’t even imagine what difficulties you went through trying to raise the kids on your own”
