NICKI

" Nicki, your attention is needed at the principal's office." Said a junior student, who walked away afterwards.

Nicki stood up, her hands tucked in her baggy pants, as she walked like a tomboy towards the direction of the principal's office.

She already had a clue what the meeting with the principal was all about.

It was about a fight between her and a senior student who had tried to flirt with her just an hour ago.

“ News spreads really fast in this goddamn school. I just can't wait to get out of the bloody hole.” She muttered with an eye roll.

Nicki halted once she got to the principal's office.

She placed a soft but firm knock on the door.

“ Come in.” A masculine voice ordered and she pushed the door open, going into the principal's office.

“ Good day Sir.” She greeted, but her greetings went into deaf ears, as the principal didn't reply.

“ You can save your greetings, Nicki.” He said sternly and she almost scoffed.

“ I called to inform you that you would be getting transferred to Clawstone Academy. I think that's the college which suits you more.”

He said and took out a document from his drawer, placed it on his desk, just in front of her.

“ But Sir. You aren't being fair.” Nicki started, causing the old man to cock his brows.

“ What?”

“ Yes. You didn't even get to hear my side of the story, but you went ahead to judge from Ricardo's perspective.” She took a deep breath before continuing.

“ I bet he didn't mention the part where he was flirting with me, did he? What am I even saying? I know he wouldn't.”

“ This isn't your first time and neither would it be the last, Nicki Bernardo.” The principal said and adjusted his glasses from the bridge of his nose back to his eyes.

“ Each time you get into trouble, you always give one explanation or another. I'm sick and tired of those!”

Nicki took a deep breath and tightened her jaw. “ I'm sorry Sir, I won't repeat such again.” She pleaded, even though she was well aware that it was all futile.

“ Same old story, Nickie Bernardo. You keep telling me the same old story.” The principal, Mr Cole, banged his hands on the desk in anger.

“ You've become Lord of the Rings in my college, and both junior students and senior students became afraid of you. You told me this same story last week, remember? It's futile begging me, since I already made up my mind, now leave!”

Nicki was hesitant to leave at first, but she has no option other than to leave, since the old man won't be changing his mind anytime soon.

“ I don't care anymore!” She swiped her tongue over her lips, turned around and slammed the door behind her.

The principal flinched as to how she slammed the door.

“ Such a psychopath.” He inhaled slowly to steady his breathing.

Nicki headed back to class and all eyes turned towards her, like she was some sort of movie.

“ Stop staring at me like I am a ghost.” She slammed her hands on the closest desk beside her, and almost immediately they all stopped staring.

Walking back to her seat, she gazed through the transfer letter given to her by the principal, and her heart skipped a beat at the thought of her father, Gamma Levi.

A petite girl came running towards Nicki, and she only stopped once she got to her.

“ Hey, I heard what happened. Don't tell me you're getting transferred again.”

The petite girl named Samantha asked, breathing fast due to running.

“ Yes.” Nicki muttered, and Samantha sighed.

“ Why did you have to beat him up? If you hadn't, nothing like this would have happened.” Samantha groaned.

“ It's not a big deal, Sam. The principal is already tired of me and is also trying to save his reputation, so he has to transfer me, using Ricardo as an excuse.”

“ But I don't really get you, Nicki.” Sam started, her two hands on her hips like a mother scolding her daughter.

“ Why do you behave like getting transferred almost every year is no big deal to you? Aren't you tired?”

Nicki bit her lips as that question cut deep into her.

“ I'm also not happy that I get transferred every year. My father is a Gamma and his reputation means a lot to him, but because of my attitude, I'm slowly ruining it.”

Sam sighed sadly, reaching out to hold Nicki's hand.

“ I really wish you won't go.”

“ C'mon Sam. It's not like I'm dying or something. I was only transferred into another college, you can come visit anytime.” Nicki flashed Sam a smile.

“ So, what college were you transferred to?” Sam asked, her eyes piqued with interest.

“ Clawstone Academy.” Nicki said nonchalantly, while Sam's eyes widened and her lips parted in shock.

“ Are you okay?” Nicki frowned.

“ Cl…Clawstone Academy? Are you for real?” Sam stuttered as she spoke.

“ Yes, what's the matter?”

“ You won't survive in that college.” Sam started. “ The rate of bullying in that school is second to none. A student was killed in the school but the matter was buried because Alpha Prince Killian of our pack attends the college.”

“ So? What has that gotten to do with me?” Nicki raised a brow.

“ It does! Everything does! You can't overlook a bully, so you might get involved and it would escalate.” Sam narrated, worry etched on her pretty face.

“ I will be fine, Sam. You don't have to worry about me.” Nicki assured, while Sam sighed.

“ Well, I hope so.”

The day's lecture came to an end and a driver designated by Nicki's father, Gamma Levi, came to pick her up from college.

Throughout the drive back home, Nicki kept fidgeting with her baggy trousers.

Her heart skipped a beat as they drew even closer to the house.

She knew for a fact that her father won't let her off this time around, not when she was getting transferred again.

The car halted once they arrived home, and the driver's voice jolted her out of her trance.

“ We are home, young Miss.” The driver said and Nicki nodded slightly.

She stepped out of the car, and her legs wobbled on the ground, as her waist couldn't support her weight any longer.

“ You will be fine, Nicki.” She assured herself inwardly, before making her way into the mansion.

Nicki might be a tomboy in school, but once she arrives home, she becomes a child who is afraid of her father.

Upon getting to the vast and luxurious sitting room, it was empty and dark, which only meant that her father and her step mother weren't around.

“ Thank you moon goddess.” Nicki exhaled in relief and began to tiptoe upstairs.

Just when she was about to sneak into her room, the light turned on.

“ Where do you think you're sneaking off to?” Gamma Levi asked, his voice resonated inside the vast and spacious sitting room, causing Nicki to halt on her track.

She gulped in fear as she slowly turned around to face them.

Her father’s cold and stern face came into view, while her stepmother had her usual evil smirk on her lips.

“ I….I..I..” Nicki began to stutter, as no words came into her mouth.

“ You got transferred again, didn't you?” The sharpness of his voice could cut through like a double-edged sword.

“ I…I..yes.”

“ Go into your room, take off your clothes.” Gamma Levi said, and a bile rose to Nicki's throat. “ I will lash you until your brain returns.”
