Aiden’s POV

The phone lay flat on my desk, screen up, silent as a corpse.

For the hundredth time that morning, I unlocked it, hoping the tiny message icon would finally light up. It didn’t.

No message. No friend request. No Rue.

My thumb hovered over her name again—just in case the system had glitched, or maybe she’d sent a request and withdrawn it. But there was nothing. Empty.

It was ridiculous how much silence could hurt.

She’d always answered before. Always. Even when we fought, she’d send

Rue’s POVPercy found me in the courtyard. I hadn’t realized how long I’d been standing there, watching nothing in particular. He moved to stand beside me, close enough that I could feel his presence.“Rue, I was actually looking for you. I had purchased something I wanted you to be aware of.”His voice broke the silence casually.I glanced at him. “You purchase a lot of things...”“Well, this is a matter of your concern.”That got my attention.I turned slightly, studying him. “What did you buy?”He hesitated, not out of uncertainty, but like he was deciding how to frame it.“An abandoned funeral home.”I blinked.“…You’re serious?”“Yes.”“Why?”“So, its not just your usual funeral home”“What do you mean?” I frowned. His expression changed. “One of my Betas went to check it out,” he said.“He noticed something… unusual.”I folded my arms slightly, listening.“Go on.”“A woman entered the building.”“A woman?”He nodded.“Not just any woman.”He paused then continued. “Haven’s moth

Rue’s POVMorning came quietly with warmth. It seeped into my senses before I was even fully awake. For a few seconds, I stayed still, eyes closed, letting myself exist in that in-between space where nothing demanded anything from me.When I opened my eyes, the room was filled with a soft, golden light. Curtains slightly parted, the early sun slipping through in quiet streaks across the floor. And then I noticed I wasn’t alone. The faint sound of movement came from outside the bedroom. Careful like someone trying not to wake me.A small, almost unconscious smile formed on my lips.Percy.I pushed myself up slowly, wrapping the blanket around my shoulders as I stepped out of bed.But before I could take another step, he appeared almost immediately. Like he had been waiting for the exact moment I woke up.“Don’t move.” His voice was soft but firm.I blinked, slightly surprised.“What...”Before I could finish, he had already crossed the distance between us. Kneeling, actually kneeling.

Rue’s POVThe door closed softly behind us, and for a moment, neither of us moved. I could still feel the lingering warmth of the night outside, the faint echo of laughter, of music, but it all seemed distant now. Irrelevant.Because the moment we stepped inside, everything narrowed to him.Percy stood just a few steps away, his gaze fixed on me, not intense in a way that demanded, but in a way that… searched. Like he was trying to understand something. Or maybe trying to confirm something.I felt that quiet, undeniable pull that had been building for so long.“ I know that sometimes I may act in a petty way, but the truth of the matter is that...I cant bear the thought of you looking at another man...” he said.“Really?” The words came softer than I expected.“I’d rather your eyes be for me.” His expression shifted.I saw the way his shoulders straightened just slightly, the way his breath seemed to pause, like I still mattered to him more than anything else.“Well, you were the only

Percy’s POVThe mask came off slowly like I had just witnessed something that couldn’t be undone.I stood there for a moment, staring at the empty chair where Haven had been. Then my gaze shifted to the recording device. It held everything, every word and confession. Every truth she never intended to reveal.Haven had killed Sora. And made a very professional act of covering it up. She has always been unstable in ways people chose to ignore. This wasn’t just dangerous, this was monstrous. And worse, she had tried to kill Rue before. The memory surfaced immediately. The way she had come too close, too close to taking Rue away from me.My fingers clenched around the recorder that a faint cracking sound echoed. The only thing that was running through my mind was one simple, undeniable truth.I won’t let her walk away from this. Not this time. Not ever.I made my way to the club.Rue’s POVBella dragged me inside before I could even fully process where we were going.“You need this,” she

Haven’s POVFragments of memory clung to me like thorns, refusing to loosen their grip even as consciousness dragged me back to the surface.“…tell me what happened next.”The voice echoed faintly in my mind.I answered. Even now, I could feel it. That loss of control. That terrifying moment where my thoughts were no longer my own. Where everything I had buried…came crawling back into the light.“They left…”My lips moved again.“The wolves…”My breathing had been uneven.“They left her…”I could see it again. So clearly it made my chest tighten. The blood, too much of it pooling beneath her body.Sora lay there. Broken and torn but not gone. Her chest still moved weakly like a candle about to burn out.And then her hand moved. Reaching for me. Her fingers, cold and sticky with blood wrapped around my ankle.I felt it again, that grip. Like she refused to let go. Like she refused to die alone.“Haven…”Her voice had been barely audible.“Help me…”Reality crushed then. If she lived,

Haven’s POVI sat in the waiting room, fingers intertwined tightly in my lap. I glanced at my reflection in the glass panel across from me.It was still perfect. My face and features. Most of it was unchanged. And yet, it didn’t feel like enough anymore.“Miss Haven?”I looked up.A nurse stood at the doorway.“Your doctor is ready.”I stood slowly. My legs felt slightly heavier than usual but I ignored it. I proceeded to follow her down the hallway.A door opened when we arrived at a certain room.“Please, inside.”I nodded faintly and stepped in.The room was dimmer, more contained. A surgical chair sat at the center. Equipment neatly arranged. The doctor stood beside the tray wearing a mask and gloves. His eyes were partially shadowed by the overhead light.I couldn’t see his face clearly but something about him felt off. I couldn’t explain it, couldn’t place it.cJust a subtle unease that brushed against my instincts.“You’re here for a procedure?” he asked. His voice was calm.“Ye
