I dug into my purse for my phone and pulled it out–it was a message from Emmet. I placed my hand on my chest and felt heat spreading up my neck to my cheeks.
"Emmet you didn't have to-" I spun and stopped mid sentence because I was alone in the sitting room so I unlocked my phone and read the contents of the message.
Emmet: Hey brownie. Well, brownie because your eyes are brown. Take three steps forward and use your flash light to search for something in front of you.
A pleased look was gradually spreading across my face–I was loving every bit of what he was doing. Putting on my flashlight, I did as I was instructed. I picked up a flat card that my eyes noticed on the floor–it was the same color as his tiles.
