Maverick’s pov-

I left the barn with my wolf clawing at me to stay, but I never gave him the reins. The entire kiss was mine and hers, and hers and mine alone. My instinct was to mark her the second I smelt how heated my native tongue had made her but I couldnt, I wanted to saver the moment of our first kiss. The scent of her incoming uncle had snapped some self-control back into me. I could see how confused she was with my sudden change in behaviour, but my wolf was far from pleased with the nagging voices of my bothers through the link, even if I block them out the wolf cannot. And then there was the small problem that If I was to ever have a chance with Nina then Jesse would have to agree with it. He would have to have full faith in me that I could control myself and my wolf and to an outside point of view it wouldn’t have looked that way if he was to walk in on us in a heated make out session.
