Chapter 2.25 | Baby?

Two months later, Algin’s cries and cursing could be heard all over.

He had been in labour for three hours already and still there was no sign of the children.

He was pacing up and down the chamber. Kneeling, then getting up. Hitting his back that was aching and the anger in his body was releasing out into the open.

Igris was nowhere to be found. The minute Algin started screaming, he told him he was leaving him now, and that he had to deal with this himself.

Algin was furious, but he knew Igris was scared. He kept growing bigger and bigger and could barely walk, but currently he was so frustrated that he had the energy to do these movements.

Wiping his tears away, he said, “I’ll never fall pregnant again.”

The nurses waiting to help him chuckled. “I’m sure you will change your mind once again when you see your child,” one nurse said.

Algin looked at her and was about to say something, but a screech came out of his mouth instead.
