Contract Marriage

  Chapter two

I stared down at the phone in my hand wondering if maybe Jessie really banged the call on me.

" Like wtf did she fucking bang the call on me?" I yelled, squeezing the life out of the phone, passing all my aggression onto it making the screen crack a little bit.

I stand up from my chair pacing to and fro in the room while thinking of what to do.

"Gosh, James really got me on this one," I said while thinking aloud.

"Arrrrrrrgh!'' I screamed frustratedly while pushing everything on my table away making them crash into each other causing a noisy and loud thud on the floor. I loosen the tie on my neck and threw it to only God knows before loosening three of my shirt buttons revealing my abs.

I could feel the piercing look of my secretary on my body from the corner of my eyes, my phone vibrated on the floor.

I walked over to pick it up while sliding over the screen which revealed an anonymous message. I read the message aloud to show my eyes or mind aren't playing any trick on me.

'HOPE YOU DO LOVE THE CHALLENGE I BROUGHT TO YOU THIS TIME…? LET'S SEE HOW YOU CORNER YOUR WAY FROM IT. THIS CONTRACT IS MINE, BUDDY.'

I threw the phone towards the wall in anger making the screen crash completely without remedy. I fumed in anger throwing anything I can lay my hands on away, turning my office upside down.

"Fuck you bastard, I'm gonna get this contract by all means," I reassured myself with nothing but a determined look on my face.

James has been my rival right from the time when we both were schooling. He tends to want to have all the good things in life without sacrificing, thinking everyone gets to bow down at his feet, which is one thing I will never do. I would rather die than lose to him.

"Aryan, think… think… think…" I said to myself while tapping my forehead and equally pacing around the already messed up room.

Jessie is out of the option because even though I know if God comes down from heaven with a skirt and blouse, she's never going to let anything tamper or disrupt her career so therefore she's not an option for me.

"What about you finding any of your workers or any street lady and signing a marriage contract with her?" my subconscious chipped in.

"Ummm, nope any of my workers won't work because they will feel I already created a room for disregard between us so I wouldn't want to but choosing a random lady on the street isn't a bad idea… no lady in their right senses would want to reject an offer like this," with just a thought on my mind, I picked up my jacket having a determined mindset that I will marry the first lady I set my eyes on for three months then we divorce and I can now be with the woman of my dreams.

I walked out of my office with a frown on my face as usual, not as if I do have a smile plastered on my face before tho, my hair falling casually covering the left part of my face giving me a bad boy vibe.

I walked over to the parking lot, sighting me from some distance away. The security men quickly opened the back door of my black limousine while bowing their heads to show their respect for me.

"Where to sir?" the driver asked casually.

"Drive across the city of Los Angeles," I replied in a calm tone, closing my eyes and then releasing the breath I didn't know I was holding before.

The driver kick-starts the car engine alive while driving away from the company.

  "Play me some cool music."

He switched to a music player while he clicked on the very available one. Old town road by Lil nas started while I hummed along with the song.

*Yeah, I'm gonna take my horse to the old town road

I'm gonna ride 'til I can't no more

I'm gonna take my horse to the old town road

I'm gonna ride (Kio, Kio) 'til I can't no more

I got the horses in the back

Horse tack is attached

Hat is matte black

Got the boots that's black to match

Riding on a horse, ha

You can whip your Porsche

I been in the valley

You ain't been up off the porch, now

Can't nobody tell me nothing

You can't tell me nothing

Can't nobody tell me nothing

You can't tell me nothing

Riding on a tractor

Lean all in my bladder

Cheated on my baby

You can go and ask her

My life is a movie

Bull riding and boobies

Cowboy hat from Gucci

Wrangler on my booty

Can't nobody tell me nothing

You can't tell me nothing

Can't nobody tell me nothing

You can't tell me nothing…"

I was jolted out of my fantasy when the car screeched to stop abruptly.

"I'm sorry sir, are you okay?" the driver said immediately looking sober.

"What was that all about?" I asked ready to rant and rave at him.

"A lady almost got hit, that's why I had to press the brake immediately to avoid causing an accident sir." he replied while shivering with fear.

I got down from the car to check out the situation.

"Are you okay?" I could hear my driver asking the lady as he helped her stand to her feet. She should be in her mid-twenties or so.

"I'm so sorry, I almost implicated you, sir," the lady apologized, facing me while bowing slightly. She turned around to go but winced in pain.

"Are you sure you're okay, miss?" my driver asked while holding her hand standing beside her as a means of support to her.

"Get her into the car, maybe we could drop her off," I finally spoke out while entering the car back. My driver looked so shocked, his eyes almost bulging out of his sockets because he couldn't believe what I had just said.

I sat down and rested my head backward.

"Was I really the one who said that just now?" I asked myself while I chuckled lightly.

They both joined later on while he zoomed off.
