Not A Pure Blood

From here outside the house I looked for the last time at my home which is my only memory. I adjusted my scarf around my neck because of the cold. 

"Good bye!"

That was the last word I said and then got into the car we owned. 

"Let's go," I ordered our personal driver who has been in charge of our family for a long time. However, he still looks pleasant to look at as he looks not too old. 

I'm going to leave this place, the place where I was born and the place where I live as a spoiled brat. I'm going to migrate to Chicago to start a new life. That’s far from here in London. It will take about a few hours to get there. Especially, we are going to enter in the middle of the forest. That was the last road to that place.

Even though I've been there once, I still wonder why we enter the forest when there is a danger warning. However, we passed the way without hitch. I think they are just making people scared. 

Hours later, we arrived in the place called Chicago. I fell asleep on the trip and woke up when we arrived. I was young when I came here but we only go to visit uncle. That's why I didn't know about this place and I don't know the whole image of the whole area. I noticed how creepy yet responsible the people living here were when we passed a one lane. It seems like they are all very kind people but there is an associated secret that you should suspect. 

They know on how to welcome visitors by their smiles and this place is make me feel happy. I feel that. My first step here is that I feel that my stay here will be good. I think this is the place where I belong. Where I can feel free away from civilization and crowded places. This is gonna be fun of staying here with my uncle in the rest of my life. I'm excited to know this place. What secrets are hidden in this place. That's gonna be challenging if you think about it.

"Hello, uncle." I said while putting my things down on the ground. I hugged my uncle firmly and he did the same for me when we got to the front of his house. Our driver also left immediately and did not want to stay longer. I don't know why. 

I missed him so much. It's been a long time since I've hugged, seen and been with him for the past few years. My parents were gone a few months ago that's why I decided to come here and live with my uncle who is my closest family side of my parents. 

He is the only one I can turn to for any help. He was so kind that it seemed as if no one could beat his person. I have some family members who are also kind, but I choose to be with him. I prefer to be with him. 

"It's you, Aurora. I'm so glad that you're already here. How's the travel along the way here?" he asked and we go inside of his small house, but enough to give us a good shelter. I carry my baggage while following him inside. 

"It's fine," I seriously answered. 

We stop in front of the old door which is I think that it's my new bedroom. I wonder what could be inside. He slowly opened the door and I guessed it. There's nothing that could be amazing inside. It's all an old things which is I'm not interested. But there was nothing I could do. 

I grew up in the city without a hole in the pocket so I got used to the beautiful things around me. It's not like almost everyone seems uncomfortable with me. 

"Here is your room for now and you have to suit yourself of staying here." Uncle simply say those words and I nodded. I still accept it somehow. 

"You don't have to worry, uncle. I'm not a kind of girl that is so stagey when it comes to things like this. You know me. I know on how to put myself in good terms. I'm not living now in a three storey house to make myself living as a princess. I should adapt this place as my birthplace." I smiled as I explained.  

"That's my girl. Go inside and arrange your things over there, then you can do anything what you want. Just be safe. Okay?" he order and I nodded again as a respond.  

I went inside and put my things on the cabin which is made by wood. After that, I jumped on the bed.

"Ouch!" I exclaimed. I thought this bed made by foam ot anything soft but I was wrong.  

Too strong of my fall. Totally all the things inside are made by wood. It didn’t capture my interest. I stood and went outside. I've seen my uncle in tiny kitchen. He is cooking something. I don't know what is it, but I don't want to interfere.

"Uncle," I called him and he turned his gaze at me.

"What? Do you need anything?" he asked confused.

"Is it dangerous to go to forest?"

"It is, my darling. Why? Do you want to go there?"

"Yes, uncle. May I?"

"Of course, you can. Just don't linger and don't go too far. The forest is dangerous, you know that." he reminded.

I nodded in response. I went back to my room and picked up the things I wanted to bring. Like an umbrella and a cellphone in case of an emergency. I went into the forest alone and I followed what uncle said.

I knew that forest could be a dangerous and might end up you in danger but still ..... I love the whole of it. It's still clear right now so I'm sure I won't get lost. Another is that I am smart and I can easily learn things.

I had moved away from the houses and I was already in the jungle. On the forepart was already gloomy, but I constantly walked towards there and think positive to make myself not to felt anxiety. I used to dive into the depths of the ocean, it's still possible. I am also a scuba diver and love to take pictures of various species of corals and fish. I've done a lot of magazines about marine life, that's why I stopped that career because that's where I'm going to live. And because of the other reason.I just kept walking and at the same time took pictures of whatever things I wanted. I saw a butterfly having a sky blue color and I follow where it goes. Not until I lose it. I walked around the place and noticed I was missing.

I suddenly felt scared. "Where have I been?" I said to myself. I heard some rustles anywhere, I can't figure it out.

"I-is there somebody out there?" I asked while my voice cracking and then, I nervously turn around. But I was shocked because a man was exposed in front of me and there was blood on the side of his lip. My body shivered in shock, and additionally cause of scared because he grinned and he also slowly approached me.

"W-who are you?"

My body filled with fear and trembling at the same time. His face is look scary. Who is he?

He did not answer me but suddenly grabbed me by the neck. He move so fast as it seems he is like a jaguar. He pushed me towards a tree so my back hurt and I shouted for help. He's not only fast, but also strong.

He bit my neck and it hurt so much. I can't do what he does. What kind of creature is this man? I tried to push him but he was too strong. I also wanted to shout but I was losing strength. He seemed to be sucking my blood. What is happening to me?

But moments later I was suddenly shocked because the person who bit my neck was thrown somewhere. I don't know what happened but it was sudden. I just leaned against the tree while sitting on the ground.

"Why did you do that to me, Adam? The pain of my body. If you want to taste his blood.... he's yours." I heard the man say that.

I opened my eyes and look who is he talking to. And...... there was a man having a masculine body, even though, he's wearing a shirt, I can still point it out. Intimidating golden brown eyes, shining black hair and adorable handsome face to make myself out of consciousness for a minute. They are having a the same color of skin which is purely white, but their looks so scary. They're both not ordinary, I can tell that.

The handsome man named Adam had no answer, if I am not mistaken. Instead he rushed to bite him again and threw it away. I also don’t understand myself. It was as if I could see them far away. I notice their every move. Lately it seems like the speed they move but now their every move is followed by my eye. I'm sick.

Punches, kicks, scratches, and whatever else they did to protect themselves. But from what I can see Adam is much stronger than the man who bit me.

They rushed at each other and their fists collided so they were thrown away. They both looked like lizards when they landed on the ground. They also have sharp fangs like dogs. Who are they?

The man who bit me ran quickly towards Adam but in an instant he could not move immediately when he was in front of Adam. I don’t know but his body seemed to be melting. It looks like a candle slowly melting.

Is he really that strong? How could they do that? Am I in front of the cameras for taping? Is this for watch film, for some kind of dramas in television?

"You will regret what you did to me today, dear prince. I do not know what my fault is why you did this to me. You will also eventually pay for what you did to me." last said the man who bit me before he finally melted and disappeared from my sight. I saw the handsome man come to my place so I felt nervous again.

I thought this is a taping. But totally real.

Until he was in front of me for a few seconds and I just shouted because he also bit my neck. But what he did was more painful than what the man had done before. That is why I don't know what happened next, because I was fainted.

"Ahh...." I woke up in my bed because of what happened. I roamed my eyesight and I figure out that I was in my bedroom. Why I am already here? Who brings me here? I was held by my neck and there was no wound.

Uncle came. "What happened to you? Why did you cry?" he asked worriedly.

"Who brought me here?" I asked in surprise but uncle just frowned.

"What are you talking about? You didn't leave earlier when you arrived. You just lay there on your bed."

I was surprised by uncle's answer. So ...... it was all just a dream. I immediately got out of bed and approached the mirror placed on the wall. I looked at my neck and there was no wound at all.

I took a deep breath. "It's just a dream."
