Victoria’s POV

In a minute, the whole fire was put out, and I took a deep breath. Looking over my shoulder, I saw Zane gazing ahead at the pack house with his grandfather beside him. They were deep in conversation, and I knew it was them that had used a powerful spell to put the fire out.

Alex came rushing out all red-faced.

“Thank you. You saved my pack.” He rushed to Zane and Jacob and fell to his knees, thanking them repeatedly.

“Maybe you will see that your prisoners are freed.”

I felt sick as a horrible feeling washed right over me.

Daryl.

How did he get here, and who told him we were here?

My eyes darted across to that wretched alpha and his poisonous Luna. It had to be one of them.

“And who the hell are you to order around like that? I think that you will find that this here is my pack. I make the rules around here.” Alex leapt up and growled in the face of a smirking Daryl.

He did not seem intimidated by Alex whatsoever. I h
