XI: Morning Sickness

-Kaia-

The entire household is asleep by the time I get up the next day, but I notice the guards are actually werewolves and not vampires. Wow, the kind of pull you must have to get wolf bodyguards when you’re a vampire.

Gabriel Priest is a fucking legend.

After showering and changing into the clothes Elijah’s mother provided, I head downstairs to grab some breakfast. While I’m fixing myself some toast and scrambled eggs, my thoughts go to the possible vampire baby growing in my belly.

Does this mean I have to drink blood to keep them fed? Am I going to have to Bella it up and drink out of a sippy cup? Oh, my Goddess, I don’t want to think about it right now. I might just hurl.

“You’re up early considering we went to bed so late,” Elijah says as he walks into the kitchen and immediately heads toward the coffee machine.

“It’s ingrained in me to be up at sparrows' fart to get myself ready; blame Alpha Azura for that,” I say and walk to the kitchen island. “And you? Get any sleep?”
