Chapter 51
Ego smiled happily as she spotted her husband from among the throng of the crowd at the airport. She walked hastily towards him. Her husband carried her in a delightful swirl as soon as she got to him. She had missed him so much, despite the fact that they had communicated every day during her two weeks holiday with her best friend in England.
It was a good thing that Ego's husband had initiated the holiday. She and Ame had done the foolish things that only girlfriends could do, and they had left a disgruntled Rosa behind to tend to Ame's baby as the two friends had gone on a sightseeing and shopping spree, doing nothing but just enjoying the pure pleasure of being in each other's company. Even Rosa could attest to the fact that the holiday brought out a sheen in her daughter, such as her husband's visit had not been able to accomplish when he visited his young family earlier.
