Chapter 6
A week goes by in blur, Meredith has gotten quite close to some of her co-workers who are equally as friendly and sweet as her. As for Melissa, they never spoke of the incident that went down that afternoon. Either of them pretended to be friendly and acted civil towards each other. And tonight, since it's Friday, the group decided to head down to the bar and get drunk since it's the weekend and they don't have to work for the next two days.
Meredith was eager to finish her work since it's been so long that she had gotten drunk and not focused on her work. By the time the clock turned 4, She rushed out of the office as if her Butts were on fire. When she reached home, she took a warm shower, and heated up the pizza in the microwave for dinner. She ate the leftover food along with a coke, her stomach full and satisfying by the time she had eaten everything.
For her outfit, she decided to be bold for once. Taking out the flimsiest, shortest dress from her closet, she tried on the black dress admiring the way it accentuated her curves and breasts, fitting like a glove. The image that stared back at her was a contrast to the image months ago, somehow, her mind took her to the night she met Gray. There is something so unforgettable about the broody man who don't give a fuck about her. Shooing the image from my mind, she continued with her makeup and hair.
The club that the group had decided were twenty minutes away from her apartment, and only when she met up with Rose, Jenna who came reluctantly and the guys from the fashion department and newbie modellers of the company did she realise that the club was the same club She had met Gray,a year ago. And just like that, her mood dries instantly, the urge to get drunk Increasing ten fold.
Meredith along with her group of friends walked into the club, eyes following her and thirsting for the dark hair goddess who seemed to catch every attention of the man. Meanwhile, Meredith were oblivious to the stares and attention she was getting since she had never gotten such kind of attention in her past.
“You looked smoking hot in that dress, Meredith!” Michael shouted in her ears while they were huddled together, drinking on the bar. Michael is the secretary of one of the fashion designers of the company, he's a very cute guy with blonde hair and a small dimple on his cheek. He's always not subtle with his flirting but the alcohol seemed to have made him bolder. Meredith found him cute but she didn't want to lead him on by flirting back. She wished that he'll get the hint and stop trying to ask her out whenever they see each other.
“Thanks Michael. Do you want to dance?” She asked, nodding towards the dance floor.
Michael looked towards the dancefloor with a smirk, Meredith hated the smirk plastered on his face.
Together they made their way to the dancefloor and Michael, surprisingly, led her putting his hands on her back in a decent way. It was easier to get lost in the music, dancing and swaying to the beats. Michael and Meredith spent the half hour laughing and dancing, letting loose and singing along to the songs, and drinking occasionally, each time getting more drunk.
“I’ll be back in a bit!” Meredith screamed in Michael’s ear. She needed to release her bladder or else she'd peed on her skirt.
“Do you want me to come with you?” He shouted.
“No, I'll manage” She said and pushed her way out of the crowd, swaying a little on her way. Meredith rushed towards the bathroom, her legs getting wobbly and head getting dizzy. She almost regretted coming to the club.
She did her business and walked back to the dance floor, but this time a slow music was playing instead of the upbeat loud music which the DJ had played before, it was nothing like the club songs but she loved it.
She made a move to walk back to the bar but was stopped by an arm around her waist. Feeling confused, she looked up and found none other than Zachary staring down at her with a soft, loving gaze. Her hands itched to shrug it off but she wanted to see what he wanted to say.
“Let go Zachary” She grumbled with utter annoyance.
“I need to talk with you,” Zachary says, his grip tightening around her small waist. Meredith felt her anger rising but before she could open her mouth, the arms around her waist were thrown off and a broad, tall figure stood in front of her.
She instantly recognised the built as well as his expensive armani suit which fitted him perfectly. Gray eyes were trained on her face, unblinking and intense drinking up her feature.
She wanted to look past his body to see Zachary’s reaction but all thoughts flew away when Gray dragged her away from the dancefloor.
He led her outside of the club with an incredible speed. When he was sure that they were far away from the club and no souls remained on the streets, he halted in his steps, as did Meredith who followed him without much protest.
“Gray?” She says, ignoring the way it felt so good to call his name without any formalities.
“I need to talk with you,” Gray says suddenly, turning to face her. Even at times like this, his hard exterior never falters, but it seemed that it had softened a tad bit while he's outside of the company.
Meredith felt her heart starting to pick up, “What is it?” She asked, biting her lips anxiously which didn't go unnoticed by Gray.
“I need to have you again” He finally says after a long pause. The air turned suddenly more chill and intense. It seemed like the whole universe disappeared and it was only the two of them. Meredith felt as though she had heard it wrong, there is no possible way that Gray had Just said that. He had said 'again' which means he recalled that night. She didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
“What!? What do you mean!?” She asked, not hiding her shock.
Gray appeared as if he had just thrown out random words, “What? You don't understand? I said I need to fuck you again. And of course, if you'll have me”
Meredith shook her head vigorously, She couldn't believe her ears. “What do you mean again?” her voice sputtered.
“Don’t tell me you had forgotten or do I need to remind you how I can make you scream and Come all overy fingers and face?” he said unabashedly that Meredith felt herself turning red and turned on at the same time. Of course, she remembered exactly how that night went down, she had been craving for his touch ever since that day.
“So, What do you say? Do you want me to fuck you again?” Gray suddenly steps closer towards her leaving no space between them. He grabs her chin and makes her look up.
“I- What about your girlfriend?” Meredith needed to ask. At her words, Gray frowned and leaned down towards her ear, nipping there. She let out a small moan.
“If I have a girlfriend, I won't be asking you to let me fuck you” his voice sent shivers down her spine. His lips hovered above her ears and hair, arms going around her waist and holding her there. “If you say yes, I'll arrange a date for us” he added, squeezing her hips.
Meredith felt her anger rising, She didn't want Gray to think that she's a cheap sex addict that would do anything he ask. She pushed his hard body with her might, glaring up at him.
“I won't let you fuck me again,It's not even that good” She lied and stomped away leaving a fuming Gray behind.
Chapter 7Mondays are always the worst way to wake up knowing that work is only a few hours away. Meredith trudged towards the bathroom and took a cold shower, screaming in the process. Only when the shock wears off did she feel all freshen up and she's ready for the painful working hours of the day.Dressed in a skin black tight pencil skirt and a maroon top, she tied her hair up with a silver hair pin. Applying a bare makeup on her face, She walked down the streets of her neighbourhood and hailed a cab, giving Directions to the cab driver. Most of her co-workers hated walking and coming to the office in a cab but she liked the simplicity of walking down the street and breathing in fresh air. Besides, She's too paranoid about getting comfortable without a walk, the fear of gaining weight being the sole reason. At Least she likes the idea of losing fats by walking. When Meredith reached the office ten min
Chapter 8It is the day of Noah’s birthday. Meredith has been feeling anxious for the whole week, the thought of showing up at the party scaring her little soul. Her long silver gown lay spread on her small bed, shoes are laid over the foot of her bed leg, yet, she just stares at it. She considers running away but that would be a little dramatic.Gray hadn't talked to her after that encounter at the coffee shop. But it would be a lie if she says that she didn't look for him often. Gray Westmore is dangerous to her because she keeps on thinking about him at an unusual time like in her bed when she sleeps at night. Yeah, He's dangerous and she planned to stay away from those kinds of people. The cab halted at the front of the massive gates. Meredith held her breath when her eyes took in the amazement of Gray's house or rather a mansion. She stepped out of the cab and paid the old man,th
Chapter 9MeredithI was the first one to slide out of the car and ran up to my apartment without needing to turn back to see if Gray was following. He did. What was I thinking? Bringing Gray Westmore to my apartment? For a cheap fuck? That sounds so horrible when I put it that way. I am single for almost a year now but sex with my boss?....Who is insanely hot and dangerous!?I could hear my heartbeat in my eardrums, ba..dum..ba..dum. We are in the elevator riding up to my floor, he's behind me,his scent assaulting my senses that I could hardly stand straight. It isn't too late to back out but my guts told me that Gray Westmore wouldn't be ecstatic about my change of decision and I wasn't saying that because I wanted him or his body.Nope.The elevator dinged, as well as my heart. Gray was the one to walk out, taking my hands in his and dragging me towards my apartment. I should b
chapter 10By Wednesday, I had convinced myself that Friday night never happened. I placed that thought at the back of my head, I refused to think about Gray although that was exactly what I had been doing for the last 24 hours, or was it 48 hours, Jumping Every time a ping sound comes from my phone.I was lazily scrolling through my Instagram feeds When Jenna, Gray's mother decided to Surprise me with her visit, I jumped up from my seat, spilling my coffee over the table. She came to sit at my table laughing with an apologetic expression.“Oh Dear, I didn't mean to scare you” A waiter approached us with a cloth, I apologized feeling so bad.“What brings you here Jenna?” I asked with a br
chapter 11We ended up on my bed... again. The kiss in my living room was the opening ceremony and then we moved to the couch, then to the bathroom, and lastly, we stumbled into my bed where we fell asleep and that was three hours ago.Gray lies on the right side of my bed while I stayed on the left side. He is snoring lightly with sheets covering up to his chest. I've been staring at him like a creep for the past ten minutes, wondering how the hell he got those long lashes and pink lips without applying any mascara or lipstick. Lips that kiss and suck so well. I rolled my eyes at my thoughts. My mind is always in the gutter whether I am at the office, with Ruth, or with the man himself. It's nauseating and a bit concerning that I can't unthink Gray's unholy images even in times not needed, specifically his coc…
Chapter 12“Holy...Holy...What happened to your eyes darling? Did some bees sting your eyeball or something?” Ruth announced her arrival with her dramatic gasp when she sees me munching apples perched on my kitchen counter.“Morning Darling' How ya doin’?” I greeted, trying to sound casual like I haven't been crying buckets last night. She pranced towards me in record time, tilting my face with her fingers towards her to get a better view of my face. “Meredith... Shouldn't you be worried about your face? It's... concerning” She echoed in a worried tone.“Mhh Pppmmm…dramatic.” Was my reply with my mouth full. She rolled her eyes and bit out “I am not being dramatic, I just need to know
Chapter 13There's always a sense of calmness that hits me right in my chest when I get to witness the pink and orange shade of the skies before it disappears right before the Sun comes up and then it suddenly turns blue and everything becomes normal again. Some Days It's not as pretty as the one I am seeing right now but a few times like today, the skies are exceptionally beautiful making me feel almost as if everything around me is beautiful except that it's not. My thoughts and mind seem to be consumed by the man who is unapologetically mean and crazily gorgeous. After he left me last night, Ruth and I had a long depth conversation on the phone for two hours that involved me begging for forgiveness at least in every sentence that I uttered until she forgave me and ordered me to spill everything that I'd been hiding from her. So, I d
Chapter 14Getting my brother to come to the city is a lot harder than I had anticipated. He's being the usual douche bag by rejecting my calls even after I had called him more times than I could count and when he did, he answered with his usual arrogant tone, making me want to tear his head open and inspect, to see what composed of his brain(Possibly kgs of dried dog poo), I threatened to crush his balls if he didn't come to meet me. So, here I am waiting for my dear brother.I watched him stroll lazily into the coffee shop and heads turned in his direction, mostly the opposite gender. I watched their eyes glow up and their faces showing interest at the sight of my brother strolling past them. That's the thing about my brother, girls love him despite his arrogant behaviour and his ego which is larger than his head. I rolled my eyes in
