Chapter Thirty Three

"I know what you want, but you don't have to be crazy, Grace."

The man spends his time scribbling on a small book which he often takes with him wherever goes, occasionally his eyes go to the woman's body lying in a hospital bed.

The clock shows half past twelve, but Grace only wakes up after getting help from the doctor and then goes back to sleep. She had questioned Mrs.Launtin, but they were not in the same hospital.

Mr.Charmond takes Grace to a private doctor, doctor Lue. Sick, Grace still railed against him with a cynical look. She hopes to be side by side with her mother who is lying ill, but Mr.Charmond just doesn't allow it.

The scribbles kept changing on the blank sheet of paper, only the direction of his eyes narrowed at Grace's body which had the wrong ambition.

It was only today that Mr.Charmond's soul was squeezed by his own thoughts after finding the small knife that Grace always carried with her every day. What for?
