A Mother

Kevin brought his hand to the nape of his neck and squeezed the thick muscle there. That was a habit of his when he got nervous. Since he became Beta, he had never been as nervous as he felt when he came out of his now reincarnated mother’s room, with her trailing by his side. The palace has changed a lot since she left and the technology has advanced. 

“Are you sure you’re ready to go out Mama?” He turned to look at her. She looked at him confidently and nodded. She might not have the face of the woman that gave birth to him but Kevin could see and feel the almost palpable love in her eyes when she looked at him. 

“I used to handle this land with your father Kevin, you just became a Beta some months ago.” She rolled her eyes before she placed her hand deep into her pockets.
