LOGINChapter 2
DAWN Exiting the building, we crossed the courtyard, only to be caught off guard by an eruption of squeals from a group of girls near a giant announcement board. “Oh my goddess, he’s coming back today!” “I swear I’m going to faint when I see him!” Kiara slowed down, grabbing my hand, she whispered, “Who are they talking about?” She pulled me forward before I could say a word, the girls were staring at a poster,I followed their gaze and immediately wished I hadn’t. The poster showed a guy leaning against a sleek black motorcycle. His blond hair was messy in a way that somehow still looked perfect, and his grey eyes held this dangerous confidence that made it impossible not to stare. The girls nearby sighed dramatically. “Every girl here wants him.” “Too bad he’ll never notice any of us.” Kiara tilted her head, studying the poster. “He’s Hot,” she said casually and I nodded and quickly looked away. There was no need to admire someone who would never look my way. “I can see it for sure,” I muttered under my breath. Everyone in this school is hot, but the banner guy seems to be on another level. He must be a senior. “I wanna meet him,” Kiara confessed, wiggling her brows as she smirked. I smiled, shaking my head, “Good luck with that. Come on,” I said, pulling her toward the dorm building. “Let’s get to our room before I collapse.” I was relieved to escape the courtyard, and finally find our dorm. Walking into the space, it was small but cozy, and the air smelled like fresh paint and new furniture. Only, I soon noticed that it wasn't just two beds, there was another, three desks of which one was already filled up with lots of books. “I am sure she will be nice.” Kiara shrugged her shoulders clearly unbothered by the fact that we had another roommate. “I hope so.” I sighed, dropping my bag on the bed. Our room door opened as I made to crash on my bed, a beautiful red-haired woman strolled into the room looking exhausted, but it was only for a second, as the tiredness in her blue eyes suddenly disappeared, replaced with surprise and amusement. “Oh my goodness, you guys are here?” She squealed, tossing her bag and books onto her bed from where she stood. “My name is Abigail, Abby for short. I am a freshman just like you, but I have been at AlphaBeta for a week now. I was so excited to come here that I couldn't wait a day more.” Abby said in one breath, her smile not fading for even a second. And here I thought Kiara and I were the most excited, but someone beat us to that, maybe even the entire school. “Hi Abby,I am Kiara.” Abby’s smile widened as she turned to me, she was expecting me to introduce myself as well. Usually, Kiara tends to be my mouth, cause I barely interact with strangers who 90 percent of the time make fat jokes that leave me depressed for days. They don't always notice the damage they do,only Kiara does. I glanced at her, expecting her to speak up, but instead she smiled, mouthing,*Come on.* I cleared my throat, returning my gaze to Abby, “I am Dawn.” “It's so nice to meet you Dawn, Kiara. I have been patiently waiting for your arrival, and now that you are here, I believe we are going to have some fun.” “I am down.” Kiara casually replied, as though she had known Abby longer than 30 seconds. “I bet you guys are wondering what's going on in school right now.” “You bet.” Kiara jumped off her bed to mine, aiming to be closer to Abby who was walking to her bed. “The freshman's party is in three days and the hot guys will be returning, including Alpha heir Aiden, son of the leading Alpha of Willow pack and current council chief of the school. Aiden's a senior and the hottest guy at AlphaBeta. The school already made a banner for his return.” “Banner guy is the Alpha's heir, I am loving it already.” Kiara squealed, grabbing my hand to support her blossoming energy. “Cool,” I said, hoping it was enough input for their conversation. Hot jocks are meant for beautiful slim girls like them, but me, a mountain of fat. “What am I going to wear to the party? I have got to look ravishing if I want a guy like Aiden to look my way.” Kiara said, bouncing off my bed to attack her luggage. “Relax girl, I know the best stylist in school,” Abby interjected. “Who is it?” Kiara asked. “Me.” Abby chuckled, her smile blossoming. “I will style you both for the party.” “Oh my goodness, Dawn, did you hear that?” “Yeah,” I replied to Kiara, unsure of how to feel. Styled or not, I wasn't going to look good, it's why I hate parties and public gatherings so much. “I don't think I want to go…” I trailed off as they both froze in time to look at me. “Oh, Dawn! Why?” Abby asked, of course she would, only Kiara knew my struggles. I swallowed my spew, thinking of an excuse, but Kiara beat me to it. “I am not going either, we have something planned out on that night.” she lied, saving me from having to explain myself, but I didn't feel the relief I expected. A few seconds ago, Kiara was excited to go to the party and meet new people just as we had promised each other, seeing her change her mind for me, soured my mood. “That's a bummer.” Abby groaned. “Urm… no it's not. We can totally cancel that thing we have and do it some other time, if it's fine with you Kiara?” “Are you sure?” Kiara asked, and I nodded. “Well, now that's been settled. We should get to styling.”Chapter 5AIDENMy welcome slash the freshman party was nothing but a noisy-filled hall. Just seconds into the party and people circled me like they always did, some were talking, some were waiting for a chance, and others just staring. I could barely keep track of so many voices in one place. Shifting away from my position, I moved towards my best friend Ryan, but the crowd only followed, not getting the message I was trying to pass.“Aiden, did you hear…” a voice started from the crowd, but suddenly it was cut off by the gasps that rose across the room. A commotion had erupted,it wasn't loud at first, just a ripple in the crowd. But then, a soft melodic voice pushed past the subtle noise of the commotion. “Enough!”I was instantly intrigued, taking a step forward. At first, all I saw were backs, people pressing closer, forming a circle like vultures sensing drama. Then I saw them first, and my jaw tightened in irritation.Clarissa and Sasha, of course, it's always them. Those two
Chapter 4DAWN“What?!” I coughed, nearly spilling my drink, and Kiara reached out, patting my back like I was the dramatic one.She rolled her eyes, completely unfazed. “Relax Dawn, I just want to talk, not marry him.”“Kiara…” I lowered my voice, glancing toward where he stood, now surrounded by a small crowd of not just girls, but guys as well. “Do you see the people around him? That’s not a ‘walk up and say hi’ situation.” I raised a brow. She smirked, smoothing down her dress. “Watch me.”Before I could grab her hand and drag her back to safety, Kiara was already walking.I wanted to follow, already taking a few steps forward, but I stopped in my tracks, afraid of drawing the slightest attention. My eyes never left Kiara, as she weaved through the clusters of students. My anxiety was free as she got closer, my mind was utterly indecisive, unsure of whether I could keep hiding away or give Kiara the support she needed.“Oh Kiara…”My stomach twisted as I took another step forwar
Chapter 3DAWNThree days went by in a flash, and everyone in AlphaBeta has been pumped for the freshman's party happening tonight, so pumped that barely anyone attended lectures, forcing the dean to cancel all classes until after the party. Well, everyone except me, has been a nervous wreck since the moment I agreed to go, thinking about what my experience would be like, and I still don't understand why the freshman's party is such a big deal.Despite Abby styling me in an off-the-shoulder body con dress that I so hated when my mother gifted it to me. Abby seemed to have magical hands, fixing the dress in by adding a few glittery gemstones and a handmade flower at the top. I liked it, I just hated how my body looked in it, my fat arms were exposed, my belly pushed out the dress, my hips too wide, my butt too big, and the dress squeezed against my body.Abby called it sexy, but all I saw was fat,as long as I wasn't slim, there was no beauty in sight.“How do I look?” Kiara's voice s

Chapter 1DAWN“Murderer!” “You killed her! You fat Skunk.”“You did this because you were jealous!”“Murderer!”The screams and curses grew louder with every passing second, while I remained on the floor of the school hallway, holding the dead body of the one person who saw the true me.“Dawn Clifford…” I heard my name, but I didn't bother looking up, overwhelmed with grief, shame, and regret.“You are under arrest, step away from the deceased and hold your hands out.” The instructions came, and tears pooled out of my eyes as I shut them close.Soon I was being lifted off the floor and my hands were chained behind me. The curse didn't die down, it became a chant. “DAWN CLIFFORD IS A MURDERER!”TWO MONTHS EARLIER Standing outside the enormous towering iron gate of AlphaBeta Academy carved with wolves, crowns, and ancient symbols that represented power and leadership. The gentle reminder of why I was here. I tightened my grip on the strap of my bag, swallowing the lump in my throat
