Ivyrose’s POVI couldn’t take it. I rudely ran out of Doctor Keller’s clinic, leaving Christopher who I thought would follow me. I stopped right outside and leaned on the door. My chest hurt so much I winced and hit it with my fist, forcing it to stop constricting. The doctor’s secretary ran toward me and handed me a tissue. I told her to tell Chris I wanted to be alone for now and she went in. Not enough blood was flowing to my brain, making me dizzy as I ran past my bodyguard who tried to sit inconspicuously at the waiting area. He stood up and followed me. I stopped running when I reached the elevator and when I got to the lobby, I saw the hospital’s huge gift shop and had an idea; I was going to go away for a week. Ivyrose’s POV I woke up to Hailey’s loud snores. I was so tired from yesterday’s events that when we arrived at the Charles de Gaulle airport around midnight, I told the cab driver to take us to the cheapest but still a clean and cozy hotel. A few hours later I found my head resting on the softest pillow and closing my eyes. The sun’s rays were eager to greet me behind the curtains of our small one bedroom hotel room. I took a deep breath while I sat on the bed and stretched my arms up. This is going to be a good week. I’m not going to stress. I’ll know if there’s a baby or not when I get back to reality. Ricardo kept staring at me while he waited for his order while Hailey’s eyes were fixed on him as she chewed her food. My mind was going crazy. I didn’t understand why I wanted him to be with us. Ivyrose’s POV "This is heavenly." I said through a mouthful of pizza. Ricardo chuckled before taking a big bite of his first slice. "I know," he said, chewing loudly, making me laugh. "Remember this place when you and Christopher come back here." "Definitely." I said, feeling guilty because halfway across the world my fiance had no idea where I was or who I was with yet here I was enjoying another man’s company. Ivyrose’s POV Foxworth Mansion: 11 years ago “Mom. It hurts so much, mom.” I said as the pain creeped its way around my abdomen and all the way to my back. My legs were wide apart and a doctor was telling me to push. “I know honey. I know it hurts, but push. Bear the pain now and you’ll have him forever.” Holding her hand, I did as she told and pushed whenever I felt a wave of contraction. I felt my son come out, but didn’t hear any crying sound. My heart pounded as I asked them why he wasn’t crying.
