Laura's heart was heavy with worry and fear. She had always been the rock for her family, the one who found solutions when there seemed to be none. But this time, the weight of their problems was almost too much to bear.

Her mother had no idea that Daniel Edward had started to hit her. Laura couldn't bring herself to shatter her mom's illusions of their perfect family. So, she kept quiet and suffered in silence, putting everyone else's well-being before her own.

Meanwhile, Rolland was restless and anxious to make amends for his past mistakes. He wanted to make things right with Bryan and keep him from getting arrested by the police.

But Claudia, the woman he had abandoned so many years ago, was not picking up his calls. When she finally did call back, she was angry and defensive.

"Why haven't you been picking up my calls?" Rolland asked, feeling frustrated and confused.

"Don't you realize I'm a married woman? You can't just call me whenever you feel like it," Claudia snapped.
