After some time, Laura felt compelled to inquire of Daniel, "Are you being genuine?" Her voice was quiet and composed. Daniel looked puzzled, furrowing his brow as he asked, "What do you mean?" Turning towards Laura.

Laura sat up slowly on the bed, saying, "I'm referring to everything. Your love and affection, are they authentic? Daniel, I need you to be honest with me just this once." Laura expressed, clasping her hands together.

Daniel chuckled softly as he gently took Laura's hands. "Laura, I understand I've been different in various ways, but trust me when I tell you that what I'm feeling at this moment is entirely new to me. I realize it might be difficult for you to believe me given our history, but I am sincerely in love with you," Daniel admitted.

Laura, being a woman, was moved by his confession. She felt conflicted because she had recently broken up with Harold yet still harbored feelings for him. Unknown to Daniel, Laura was struggling with her emotions, remaining silent.
