Chapter 9

Donald lounged on the bed, eagerly anticipating his breakfast. He couldn't stop thinking about how he could do away with Ashley and start a new life with Emma. As he drifted off into his thoughts, Emma appeared with his breakfast, and he snapped out of it.

He gazed at Emma as she served him breakfast on the bed, and then he said, "Let's get married, Emma." He paused for a moment, hoping that his request would be granted.

Emma was taken aback by his sudden proposal. "That's fast, Donald. Let's slow down a bit," she replied, trying to be cautious.

Donald's heart sank, but he quickly agreed with Emma. "I understand, Emma. I just love you too much, and I can't help it," he said, with a sad smile.

Emma smiled back, relieved that Donald had accepted her suggestion. She watched him eat his breakfast, his eyes fixed on the plate with a dreamy look.

As Donald dozed off, Emma seized the opportunity to sneak into the underground room where his prisoner was being held. To her surprise, the room w
