The cold air from the air conditioner brushed against my skin, sending a shiver down my spine. I pulled the covers tighter around me, trying to stay warm, feeling the chill seep through the fabric. Just as I thought I’d drift back to sleep, I noticed something tugging at the edge of my blanket.
