When Killian heard his father announce the marking and mating rituals, his eyes instinctively found Isabella.

She stood with her head bowed, fingers twisting nervously in front of her. The sight pulled last night’s memories into his mind.

Across the crowded hall, his gaze caught Maya’s. Her eyes blazed red with anger, fixed on him like a predator ready to strike. Killian’s jaw tightened. He was trapped—between his father’s will and Maya’s love. But to him, it wasn’t really a choice. He wasn’t doing this just because his father demanded it. No—this was because the pack wanted a Luna. And his father had already chosen Isabella.

Seven priests stepped onto the stage, their long robes sweeping against the wooden floor. They began chanting in low, rhythmic tones, their voices weaving together like an ancient song. Holy water sprinkled across Killian and Isabella, the droplets cool against his skin.

He glanced at his father. The older man stood tall, his expression firm but warm, offering a

Isabella finally emerged from Rose’s room after what felt like hours of deep sleep. Her body was rested, but her mood… not so much. The last thing she wanted was to run into Killian. Husband or not, she wasn’t about to share a room with him. Alpha or not, she didn’t owe him anything. The hallway was quiet—until she noticed a tall man with a broad, muscular build standing right outside the room’s door. He straightened the moment she appeared, bowing slightly in acknowledgment. She offered a brief nod and walked straight toward the kitchen. But then she heard his footsteps behind her.She stopped, confusion flickering across her face, and turned. “Excuse me… why are you following me? Do you need something?” she asked softly, her brows knitting together. He bowed again. “No, Luna. I’m Gamma Jack—your bodyguard. I’ve been ordered to follow you everywhere.”She blinked, the words sinking in slowly, almost unbelievably. “Your what?” Her voice came out in a choked whisper.“Your bodyguard

Killian mind-linked Ethan, ordering him to prepare a full report on how the rogue had entered their territory. He also summoned all the security chiefs for an urgent meeting.Within minutes, the office was filled with the low shuffle of boots and the faint scent of rain-soaked fur. Killian stood behind his desk, his gaze sweeping over the gathered men. All the warriors bowed before their Alpha, their postures tense and alert."Ethan," Killian began, his alpha voice steady but edged with steel, "how did that rogue get into our territory?" His pack’s safety was never negotiable.Ethan stepped forward. "It looks like he came in through the river on the north side of the forest," he reported.Killian’s jaw tightened. He turned to Joel, his chief of security. "Post guards near the river, but make sure they’re trained for underwater combat before deployment.""Yes, Alpha," Joel replied with a firm nod.Killian’s gaze moved to the rest of them. "I want all borders on high alert. Not even a b

At first, Ethan seemed confused, watching his alpha behave like a possessive husband. Killian had never been this protective of anyone—not even Maya—but with his Luna, he was different. Then Ethan realized it wasn’t just possessiveness; the alpha king was jealous too. A small chuckle rose inside him, but he kept a straight face, nodded, and finally bowed his head in respect.“Sorry, Luna… Alpha,” he said, glancing between Isabella and Killian, his gaze lingering on his alpha for a moment before bowing again. To Isabella’s further surprise, Killian took her hand and began walking ahead of his team as they headed for the pack house. She watched him with wide, disbelieving eyes.“What was that?” Isabella asked, blinking at her alpha husband with innocent blue eyes.“What was what?” Killian replied, his husky voice turning cold and indifferent once again. She knew she had lost control and let him touch her, even after he had been cold to her since their marriage—but she couldn’t help it.

Killian’s shadow loomed over her as he planted his hands on either side of Isabella’s body, trapping her in place. She leaned back, trying to create space, but the back of her head hit the ground. She winced, and his eyes darkened with concern.“Isabella…” His voice was low as he leaned closer, and just as she lifted her head, their lips brushed — accidentally, yet the spark was instant and undeniable. Isabella gasped, her eyes widening.Killian’s control wavered as he felt her breathing quicken, each reaction to his breath, his touch, and his kiss driving his wolf into a frenzy. His hand threaded through her long, golden-blonde curls, tilting her head to the angle he wanted. His lips brushed the fine line of her jaw, trailed to her chin, then moved slowly down the curve of her neck. When he reached just behind her ear, he nipped and lingered, his mouth claiming the spot until a faint mark bloomed there.Isabella’s breath hitched, a soft sound escaping her lips. Her fingers curled int

‘As if you wanted to go back,’ her wolf’s voice hissed inside her head. The wolf wasn’t angry about the run—she was angry at Isabella for shouting at Killian. The wolf clearly didn’t share her feelings; in fact, it seemed she had a crush on him.Isabella ignored the comment. She would find her way back later. Right now, she wanted peace—just a moment to think without anyone hovering over her. She shifted back, slipped her clothes on, and sank down under a broad oak tree. Its rough bark pressed into her back as she leaned against it, eyes falling shut. That’s when she heard it.A low growl cut through the stillness. Her eyes snapped open, her muscles tensing. Her wolf stirred inside her, sensing danger. The growl came again, closer this time, deep and threatening. She rose to her feet, scanning the trees, every sense on high alert.Rogue. The scent was unmistakable—wild, unclaimed, filthy and dangerous. She tried to shift again, but her wolf refused to respond. ‘No… not again. Please,

Killian’s voice was cold, clipped. “Where is my wife?”Rose blinked at him, her brow arching high. “Your wife? Really?”“Give me an answer, Rose.” His tone dropped into the firm, commanding cadence of an Alpha. She flinched at the sound but didn’t back down. “Why do you care?” she asked, her voice edged with annoyance.“Step aside and let me see for myself,” he ordered. The flicker of frustration burning in her brother’s eyes made Rose’s stomach twist, but she stood her ground, squaring her shoulders. “No. She’s staying here with me for the night.”“I’m taking her with me,” Killian declared, moving toward the door.Rose’s arm shot out horizontally, blocking his path. “You’re not going in there.”“Stop being a child, Rose.” His patience was wearing thin.“Exactly,” she shot back. “Stop being a jerk. Haven’t you done enough to make Isabella cry?” She tapped her foot, glaring up at him.“What did I do?” His brows knitted together, genuine confusion slipping into his voice.“Really, Killi
