Violet’s POV At six in the morning, when the sky outside is quite cloudy and still dark, I’ve already gotten out of bed and knocked on the door of Neil's bedroom. As always, there is no answer. He is not at home. I guess again he has spent his night at some casino. When entering the living room I smell a disgusting stench. The floor is covered in boxes of instant noodles, beer cans, and dirty clothes Neil had taken off. This is one of the reasons I hate Neil for. He always makes our house a mess and asks me to clean it. As he said that’s my reason to exist- To be his housekeeper. I take a deep breath, put on my apron and rubber gloves, and start to clean as it’s my everyday task. I collect all the trash in a big black garbage bag, throw it outside the door, put Neil’s dirty clothes in the washing machine, and start to mop the floor.
