Chapter 13 Twenty million dollars?

I stare at the diamond ring.

Do diamonds of this size really exist in the world?

Ziv must have been tricked by some shady vendor who used crystals instead of diamonds.

"You don't like it?" Ziv asks, perhaps seeing my hesitant look.

"Oh, I like it a lot. I’m just thinking that ......" I may not bring this ring to work. After all, it's so over the top.

"That you don't want to show off, am I right?"

"Yeah..." Half-right.

“You are such a good person.”Ziv smiles, then pulls a crimson velvet box from the nightstand and opens it.

"I understand that it’s for your job. You're a waitress. It would be inconvenient to work with this ring on your finger. I've thought about that. That's why I have another ring for you, for daily use." He says.

Inside the velvet box lays a pair of plain silver wedding rings, which look much more understated than the diamond ring.

It seems that Ziv really does not have much money left. So he bought such plain rings as our wedding rings.
